At first I thought they eliminated it since my existing thumb drive wouldn't fit in the slot. The sales guy said he talked to his manager and they said that was eliminated in the newer models. Then I did a little more research and it turns out that the connector in the 2025 is for USB-C. Mine...
There was no recall for the EPB, just a TSB during the first couple years. Had to do with the rear rotors locking up. I've had my 2016 for 11 years and never had a problem with the rotors.
Agree - I've had zero issues. Passing the 16 to a family member.
Even if you don't subscribe after the free period doesn't Mazda continue to collect info on you and your driving habits? I think I recall some posters having to call Mazda to disable that part.
Let me get this straight - you pay them to collect data on you and your passengers because they offer you a few options that most people don't really need anyway.
Is this data collection? I noticed it on the stickers when I was at the dealer looking for a 2025 CX-5.
Is this the thing you have to call Mazda corporate to disable?
If it's data collection (which i assume it is), what is it collecting?
Thanks, decided against another turbo since I already have one that I'm keeping.
Lowered my expectations to something in the Touring level since that's the vehicle I'm replacing. This is a bad time to be looking for a 2025.
I purchased the full B2B warranty last summer from my Mazda dealer. I was a little spooked about the cylinder head cracking on the turbo and I was approaching the end of the powertrain warranty. I called around to different dealers for pricing and it's all over the place. Finally got my local...
You're right. All dealers within a 50 mile radius have basically nothing. Few turbo's, some loaners and used with substantial mileage. The few 2025 Selects I was able to find are the exact same color as my 19 Reserve. Machine Grey. No way I want two same vehicles in the same exact color. I...
Thanks for the info. Good to know the 2016 can handle the upgrade. Now the only problem is what will the dealer charge. This is not something I'm willing to tackle on my own.
It's a 2016. I thought the kit covered 2016 but maybe not. The mount might be the best bet. I have to go to the dealer on Tuesday so I'll see what they say.
Passing my car to a family member and she's used to Apple CarPlay in her parents car.
I know it's best to have the dealer do the install but was curious on the costs.
