Exactly, thanks @sm1ke ...Unfortunately, this is now the second time we've had to post a reminder in this thread as I posted something similar (added above)..Two reminders is not a positive trend.
Here's a third reminder, if this negative behavior continues whether in this thread or in others...
Just a quick FYI for everyone...Friendly debates and discussions are okay but not when they turn into arguments or worse...Please keep it friendly, thanks.
Word on the street is feedback about the lack of physical controls in the 2026 CX-5 has reached Mazda and that future models may retain more physical controls as a result...What that means for the upcoming CX-5 though is not clear...
I wonder though once it's released and if it received well...
Oh definitely agree, I've seen it in person and it is breathtaking! That said, I mentioned the Iconic SP because it's newer, there's probably a shelf life on design concepts so likely we'd have to see a new version of this style/type to base any hopes on at this point.
Changed the thread prefix to "2017~2025" (second gen CX-5).
@GFrosty If such an updated thread doesn't already exist for the first gen, feel free to create a new thread for the procedure you posted, I'm sure it would be appreciated by many!
There may be more value in exposing this for educational purposes. Hopefully after seeing this thread, people who may have believed this sort of content will now think twice and be better off for it.
Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing...Seems like all these "rotary-powered" concepts are just a tease and they have no intention to take them into production. Perhaps they think it's enough to show these just to maintain a unique image...I hope not!
I would be very disappointing if we don't see...
Wait a minute...Since we've recently learned that Mazda may be working with Toyota on the next Miata (sharing manufacturing?) than that adds more weight to this story as well...So it's possible we might actually see a new flagship sports car from Mazda in addition to a new Miata...That would be...
If you haven’t heard enough already about AI and Quantum in the news, it’s even entering the world of Mazda now…Mazda has partnered with a UK-based AI and Quantum startup called Secondmind. Apparently the idea here is to partner for research, development and commercial deployment of AI-driven...
@TX_SilverP5 Unless I'm missing something, it doesn't appear you have a thread dedicated to this Protege5 or not one updated recently...I say this because the above post is amazing, beautifully organized and unbelievably detailed...If you don't have a dedicated thread, I certainly hope you...
Congratulations on your wedding @bigsho!
On the other hand, always sad to hear when a community member passes away, RIP Evan.
Excellent post though, not only updating us on your CX-70 experience but life as well...Congratulations once again and wishing you the best!
Interesting to read everyone’s reactions, impressions, concerns…I get it but at the same time now that we’ve had time to see more of the new CX-5…I think Mazda “threaded the needle” well for this next generation. As we know, it’s not easy updating a bread and butter model, you want to keep it...
This thought popped in my head while posting in another thread…What do you guys think if Mazda went with a rotary hybrid powertrain into the next Miata? I believe this system uses the rotary engine as a generator in effect so it it would mean power via electric motor/s.
To far fetched or an...
Mazda has been teasing us with rotary concept engines for years now and all we got so far is a side project version in the MX-30. I think the way to go with the rotary is in something people remember which is the RX-7 or in other words a high performance model…Stop trying to make it seem like...
