did you see that cp-e now is selling their TMIC (3.25, polished) for $350? dun dun dunnnn. I'm sticking with CS in hopes that the cast endtanks will negate the additional .25 of core size lol. plus i like that we can use the OEM shroud. The less attention I get at the dealership the better haha...
stop running the Dakar...
Really though that seems really dirty. It makes me think I should've checked mine the last time I cleaned the filter. I wouldn't think this is normal? (obviously I have no idea, sorry)
dang that's cheap. I already placed my order for the CS piece. a slightly larger core + polished seems worth the $50 to me though. Although the CS has cast endtanks; but I am not sure it matters much in the grand scheme of top mounts? How well does the cp-e fit? I guess it doesn't matter as I'm...
perhaps "visibility" wasn't the right word. Clearly the 3/ms3 is going to outsell the rx-8. I wasn't trying to associate visibility with sales; but more with brand image/flagship technology that avg people know about.
The Carerra GT would not exist if it wasn't for the sales of the Cayenne...
Partly because the rx-8 was a flagship vehicle with very high visibility to the general public. Average joes/janes knew something about it. If it did well the rx-7 was sure to follow lol. the ms3 is just a car that most ppl can't tell apart between a reg 3...and most ppl don't know anything...
If it wasn't for the opt out option this would only be a $300 gamble with no numbers or any other info on a relatively small TMIC. But this price (along with the opt out option) is simply too good to pass up.
EDIT: Just ordered...and I just about bought the TBE w/ hi-flo cats as well. Turns out...
I'm not sure how I missed this thread before...the shear magnitude of what's going on in it should've had it's own gravitational pull...in relation to which threads I read. What? Yeah this project is awesome (and wholly intimidating). You, sir, are the man.
irresponsible and idiotic? yes. funny? As long as it isn't my car and no innocents got seriously hurt, yes.
More often than not, a 16yr old is going to abuse whatever vehicle they have to the point of it being dangerous/life threatening, regardless of if it's fast or not. I severely abused my...
dumb question(?) will the ECU still need time to "settle down" if I simply reflash with AP? Also, on that note, will I need to reflash with AP after battery disconnect? Man I can't wait to get this stuff on (stupid Winter and no garage).
I get mid-high 20's (26-29) with regularity in the summer. Mix of city/hwy. I have hit 30+ on hwy trips. I'll get low to mid 400 miles per tank. Winter I'm stuck around 22mpg. I have cobb SRI with AP OTS tune (Stage 1 SF+93)
regardless, letting your car idle until the engine is at operating temp (don't know the exact temp, but thermo @ mid...ha) isn't going to put everything else at operating temp. it takes me about 20ish minutes of driving before I can feel everything working as it should. Just drive sanely until...
I am running the Stage 1 SRI SF+93 (or however it is arranged, alphanumerically; can't recall of the top of my head). def not economy mode. I stick to around 75 if I can. cops are ruthless on the insterstate throughought my route and have already learned me a lesson...I travel a bit on side...
I've packed a great deal of snow inside an engine bay...rare for all conditions to align in order to get such a large amount of buildup, but it definitely can happen.
Cobb SRI (w/ AP OTS Map). improved roughly 4 MPG generally speaking (same driving habbits, 60/40 city/hwy). will get at or over 30 mpg on an all hwy tank.
I live in Milwaukee, WI area and it gets cold. I leave my SRI on all 4 seasons. Warm-up time "improvement" with the stock box is going to be negligible, if at all. During the Winter months, some mornings it's negative teens to 20's so I've just accepted 10-15 in warm-ups, regardless of intake.
