That could be a possibility in his case but my cx-5 has no mods at all and had the same issue before,just at lower speeds,it ended up being a loose battery cable.

Im just using a regular OBD-II scan tool but it also takes live data which I took a look at but never altered or anything.Only erased the previous code I got.Im trying to upload a video of what im talking about but this forum is confusing on how to upload it.
