Still using Kirkland?
I noticed a dip in L/100km. I was getting between 7-7.5 on my mostly highway commute but now getting 10.5-- same speed, didn't really matter between the tires. I'm at 167K kms, last changed plugs (NGK) at about 120k. Still a bit early I think. This is with new oil as well...
So I bought the Powerstop Z23 kit 23 months ago. Found out it's under a 24 month warranty. Sent pictures and was able to get another new kit sent to me. Will see how it goes but I'll check the calipers before installing the new ones.
Apparently, the condenser is prone to certain temperature/ climate. Canadian winters with salt etc will do it. The AC is really really weak in this car to begin with.
Try a search, it'll come up.
Recently got Michelin crossclimate2 installed at Costco.
The vibrations are better in my CX9, but sad to say, my wife's Kia runs so much smoother. Heck, my 2004 Eclipse runs smoother.
There is a popular thread even for the vibrations on the 2nd gen CX9 regardless of year.
Sad to say, but you...
Thanks for the input.
I'm certain it was inserted without any kinks and was lined up straight.
When you say the calipers, you think it's not being squeezed evenly when the brake is applied?
A few things to unpack:
When I pushed back the calipers previously, I didn't push it too far back so...
So a little update for the Z23 kit from Power stop.
Heard a nasty noise from the rear under moderate braking (behind driver).
Took the rear wheel off to check the pads and sure enough the outer side was completely gone and just started to scratched the metal on the pad. The other side pad and...
Nice, are they as good as ppl say they are? I was on the fence as I have dedicated winter tires, and the cc2 looks like winter tires too. The highway and quiet driving and the additional grip is the selling point
I'm replacing my original tires finally. Ordered the michelin cross climate 2 from Costco, will get it installed in the next few days. Seems like a really good tire... Hoping the reviews for quiet highway driving is accurate.
The service dealers looked at everything, from tires, bent rims etc. If I didn't have my winter xice tires mounted on a different set of rims, I had nothing to stand on with them. After I was able to dispute all that AND show that I paid twice out of pocket for the road force balancing on both...
Yup, I was able to do extractions but I'm not sure based on the cheap set that I have, based on the area that it's in. It's not torqued much but I decided to just leave it be since it's fine. My anxiety was able to move onto other things 😂
