With that much oil use id check the plugs. Specifically after its been sitting overnight. Sounds like they might be fouled and it takes time to burn off. Easy to check and confirm and/or rule out
I dealt with a similar issue earlier this year. Turn the key and nothing. I read a few threads about the ignition switch. Seemed likely considering it was intermittent but was starting to happen multiple times weekly. Local parts store had a starter in stock so i swapped that first. That fixed...
ddm are cheaper kit thats usually fairly reliable. ive had them in a couple cars ive owned. basically a plug and play swap. down side is putting hids in a halogen housing scatters light everywhere and lots of people frown on that. cops too. morimoto minis are more expensive and require more work...
Im sorry i cant help with the mechanic recommendation. I can offer some suggestions though. First off Id say to start with some cleaning. The throttle body, the egr valve and the IAC. My car would get a slight hesitation and when I did this I found carbon build up in all 3 of these. After a...
did you check the alternator output with the car running? should be 13.8-14.3 ish at the battery. are all of your grounds clean and tight? lastly the fuses and relays under the hood - are the prongs blackened or look cooked? its good to make sure that nothing else burned up whenever the power...
I drilled a hole on the top of the metal so i can adjust my illuminas. The only plastic i move is that top piece and slide if forward. Look down with a long screwdriver and make my adjustment and slide it back into place.
The clunk fix moves the mounting points of the sway bar out farther towards the wheels. another thing to check - those zerk fittings on your endlinks. mine wouldnt fit with those fittings on. the top ones stuck out too far and hit the inside of the wheel well. i ended up putting some 90*...
Yes mr giggles is correct however i was implying you can check the fluid via dipstick. If its brown or black or smells burnt you can try new fluid and save yourself some money. Its your time and 3 quarts of fluid to see if its a simple fix or the tranny needs professional attention.
Have you checked the tranny fluid? First thing i would do is drain the pan and drop it. Then take off the filter and clean it off with carb or brake cleaner and reinstall it. Then reattach the pan and fill with new fluid. See if that fixes the issue. Possibly need to do that twice if the...
youre welcome. there are several threads about using the lowering springs and clunking. they are visibly shorter and as a result you dont even need a spring compressor to reinstall them. if it was that easy to replace struts for you you probably need the washers. if you needed a compressor...
I cant tell clearly from your pics if your car is lowered or not however I remember when I put eibachs on my p5 I had to use some washers between the top hats and the nut that holds them on because the tokicos werent threaded down far enough on the shaft to seat the spring and it was reported it...
Bump! Buy this guys stuff! He communicates well and is very detailed in the descriptions. I received the HU quickly and he took great care in packaging everything up.
i wasnt leaking onto the ground at first. i noticed my temp guage running higher than usual. opened the hood to see a few drips around rad filler neck. tested the cap and it failed. replaced that and i assume the pressure blew out a corroded fitting and then all hell broke loose. im sorry i...
I just had a similar issue with mine. turns out the rad cap went bad and car would seep coolant from the top. I replaced the rad cap and not 10 miles later i blew the fitting on the bottom of the rad for the auto tranny lines. That dumped all my coolant and it got hot quick. after a new rad and...
