Don't use the roof mount racks. I highly suggest buying a hitch and mounting the bikes on the rear. Its safer in terms of not having to worry about scratchign up your roof and also reduces drag/improves MPG. Look up "Curt" trailer hitches. Hopefully you can either sell or return the roof...

I have tech package key so does anyone have an ebay seller link or can recommend a silicone or leather key fob cover? I looked on E-bay and all of them are for CX-7 or CX-9. Their keys look similar but not sure if it would fit perfectly. Thanks in advance.

I am attributing all the MPG issues to be related to winter fuel blends . If you look at my fuelly record, you will see that my MPG's decreased in the fall. I drive my cx-5 daily for work and do errands on the weekend which involves mostly city driving. But I would expect to see better mpg.

We did do a restart. This incident occured while my wife was driving. I had her pull over and shut the car off. We got out and switched places. I started the car and the problem still showed up.
