Interested in the Front brake calipers, with mounting brackets, whichever of the pair of cars had the better set. Plus shipping to 25427 please and thank you!
Replaced my ghetto dryer vent CAI pipe, with a slightly less ghetto Spectre expanding vinyl duct meant for such purposes. Car is quiet again, except for the exhaust leak that I couldn't hear over the leaking airbox before :( Its always something....
I have been trying to find the parts online for a few days now. That actual parts diagram for a 2012 is surprisingly hard to find. If it were me I would remove the busted stuff and take it to a local dealer and get them to find the part numbers for me. Then take those part numbers to a parts...
Easy as pie would be my wifes CRV. 10 minutes, no tools. Mazda5 requires watching a video, crawling upside down under the dash, removing four screws (two of which are largely invisible) two plugs, sliding out old filters (make sure you pay attention to where they were in relation to one...
What is funny is that before I removed the stupid tuba you could feel the engine run out of air at about 110. Without the "tuba" with the engine getting air through the duct the limiter is the only thing holding the van back. She would probably do at least 119, maybe even 120 LOL No there are...
I went with 5000K temp and 55watt ballasts when I did mine. A few small points. I'm not really sure the extra money for the 55w ballast was needed. Make sure you replace your halogen high beam bulbs with something close to the HID in temperature because if the 2012 is anything like my 2006...
Holy Crap! That was time well spent my man, she looks AMAZING. Wish mine cleaned up half as well, though I do tend to wash mine a little more frequently LOL
I would suggest getting the best quality kit you can find (TRS) a relay harness to power it (TRS) and see how you like the results of HID lamps in halogen projectors. I have been very happy with mine and I NEVER get high beamed by oncoming drivers. There are many, many people who will tell you...
The amp I have waiting to go in is about the size of a carton of cigarattes! I have never attempted an amp install before, done speakers and HU changes many times though. I have the amp install kit that I got with the amp from Sonicelectronix (they are the best!) I'm just lazy enough that I'd...
Mine revs a little more freely on the top end, I can bounce off the limiter at 118MPH where before that wasn't possible. I would say its butt-dyno approved if nothing else LOL
If the forecast remains clear for this coming weekend I'm going to install the speakers myself. Annnnnd with the money I saved I'm going to get a pro-shop in Winchester to install the amplifier sometime in the next two to three weeks. Woot! New Anthrax and Skeletonwitch albums have made it...
Looking good!^^ The front bumper has to come off to get rid of the "intake tuba" its held in by three bolts one of which is kind of hard to see. I'm going to replace my cheapo duct with either PVC or something more durable this coming weekend as it keeps tearing loose of the bottom of the...
Primergy, that would be the famous "intake tuba". AFAIK its only purpose is as an intake resonator, though when it gets heat soaked in summer it also raises your intake air temps by about ten degrees. I removed mine and replaced it with a piece of flexible aluminum duct " the ghetto CAI" if...
Oh c'mon, lets not kill the mans dreams entirely! LOL I would say that the Dynamat (or similar) solution would yield results that could be heard by almost anyone. It isn't easy, or fast, or cheap, but I would argue that in the end its worth it.
Help with what? If you are looking to cure road noise by going this route you are probably wasting your money/time. The 5 was/is based on an economy car, its noisy. The best thing you can do is strip the interior and coat it in Dynamat or a similar product.
We'll have to agree to disagree on the "highway cruiser" thing. I put almost 175 miles A DAY on mine and I think its a great highway car. Best of luck going forward, visit often...
That's awesome! The wheels look nice too. On to the questions, Did you have to do anything with your lug studs to use the 3mm spacer? When I used a 10mm spacer on my Honda I had to install longer lugs (PITA) Are you going to paint the calipers? Good work, you have re-ignited the desire for...
