Nope. Mine seems crystal clear and its a year and a half old. Can you feel it on the windshield? Maybe rather than pitting it is debris on the windshield? Try running a razor blade or an exacto knife across it and see if it cones off.
I notice on the road, 90% or more of current suvs/cuvs that have fog lights come with some sort of trim from factory. Which may be why I've always felt the cx-5 fog lights just look un finished. I personally think it is subtle and classes up the front end a bit. When you stare at the fog light...
How recently? My dealer told me the same thing last year but it has done it since. Not since its been summer but i expect it will start doing it again soon as it gets colder.
I honestly dont even know where the hood shakes at. So i guess that means mine doesnt. The drivers mirror vibrates though at speed and when the stereo is cranked.
My cord was hanging out the honeycomb front grill when I got it. I found that the plug actually presses into the grill and holds it there quite nicely. It has been there all summer and has never fallen out.
Oh, and welcome fellow Winterpegger. :)
Edit: oh, nevermind, I now realize you are...
Glad you got it fixed under warranty.
You don't happen to be one of the people that sometimes had sputtering issues from the start on colder days are you? Happens to me about once a month in winter...
Mine too. How stupid am I to believe something the dealer tells me. They also said my gt definitely has a stock subwoofer. Fortunately I looked into that one myself and told him to show it to me. He learned something that day.
There are tow hook eyelets in the compartment where the spare is. There are some plastic caps on both bumpers that pop off and the eyelets can be screwed into the frame for that purpose.
I traded in an 05 escape for my 2.0 cx-5. The cx-5 is probably on par with the escape in acceleration and power in normal driving. Where I really feel its lack of power is on hill climbs, merging and deep snow. But, it also gets way better fuel economy. I still dislike the cx-5 transmission...
I think most of the comments about being sluggish are from people with 2013's which all have the 2.0 engine. A 2014 will have the 2.5 which is obviously faster. But no rocket of course.
If you need more power at a similar price point, the kia sportage sx has plenty of power. I still sometimes...
If the shudder is happening with your a/c on, it is probably the compressor kicking in.
As for the build date, the tag on the door only indicated the date in which your car was brought back from the year 2014.
