Thanks for the quick response.
The tire pressure was at 34 so I increased them to 35 (says 36 on the door jam but I find the car rides too rough at that psi)
I changed the oem tires and wheels right after i bought the car because the Bridgestones were awful, plus I wanted wheels and not hubcaps...
Hey all, I only have 13,000 miles on my 2 year old Yokohama YK580s. One developed a radial pull and Discount Tire replaced it for free but I had to shell out the pro-rate ($70) to replace the one next to it because it's not good to have an older tire on the same axle as a new tire.
They put the...
I have had them look at the car and even left it there for a day and they still claim they find nothing wrong.
Mazda has ZERO customer service, and I'm talking about the company. The dealer said they are a pain in the ass to deal with and never OK repairs.
There are tons of choices out there and...
Mine is still acting up, a few times i stepped on the gas and the rpms increased but the car didn't move for a few seconds.
I emailed Mazda about it 10 days ago and still haven't received a reply.
This may be both my first and last Mazda
He said he was sure that the problem was the transmission valve body but Mazda will only cover it if a code is thrown while they have their laptop attached and driving.
I can't believe the programming he did will fix the problem but today so far it didn't act up. Let's see if it continues
Mazda knows about the issue and when a problem is intermittent they should take your word for it, IMO. It's not like I'm having a good time bringing my car in.
GM was quicker to give approval to dealers to fix something, Mazda is known for being a pain in the butt.
I would only leave it there if...
I brought my car in yesterday for the intermittent hesitation when pulling away from a stop or after a slow turn or after slowing down and needing to speed up on the freeway. It also sometimes is slow to shift from reverse to drive and doesn't slow down at times when I take my foot off the gas...
Thanks, that does help. My car fluctuates between 550 and 750 depending on how hard I was driving-coming off the freeway at a red light it's at 550, driving slowly on the street and it's 750. This is all without the A/C on
Tach normally at 750.
If I drive on the freeway or drive ober 55 on the street, when I come to a stop at a red light the tach drops to a little above 500, sometimes it seems like it will stall but doesn't.
I've never had a car that varies at all. The Cobalt was at 800 every single time.

Hey all,
I have a new 2013 Mazda 3i Sport Sedan Automatic
When warm at a red light the engine has a vibration that feels like a misfire (an intermittent shudder).
The dealer says it is normal (like they always do) but can this really be normal on a brand new car?
Thanks for any opinions.
I notice mine hesitates when cold. After I make a turn and press on the gas pedal not much happens unless I floor it, which I don't want to do in a new car. According to the guys in another forum this is normal for the 3. It sounds kind of like your issue, unless it happens to you after it is...
Actually, he's trying to make ME happy
Basically using his years of experience to make sure I don't have issues down the road.
It could be a non issue but he put the fear of Zod in me
It's pretty confusing because there is one side that says it's OK and another that says it's not.
I emailed Tire Rack out of curiosity and they said I could get a 16x7 wheel as long as the offset is no smaller than .45mm So, they agree with my mechanic.
However, I have asked the same question on...
I got my alignment today and even before I asked about the wheel offset he marked on the receipt that he recommends stock tires and wheels. He then added Offset aftermarket wheels may cause future handling/ride problems. This guy has been in the business for 30 years.
So, I went back to the...
Question about offset-the oem wheels on the Mazda 3 iSport are 6.5 " wide and the offset is .50mm
I put on wheels that are 7" wide and 40mm.
I haven't been happy with the ride and after reading up on it some say it doesn't matter, some say the wider rim (with 6.5" wide tires) may negatively...
