So let me get this straight i can either:
1.Get it rebuilt
2.Swap one of the protege garage motors
3.Swap a 2.0 liter from a different mazda
Just making sure im on the right track as far as what choices i have in replacing my blown motor
Yeah it was definatly boosting at 3000 but not sure how high its been awhile since she blew. but i would have to guess i was around 8psi. talked to a few friends and spun rod bearing seems to be the most common answer
Thanks maybe if you were a little close to WI I could pay you to do the swap. I do have a few people that could possibly rebuild it forged for me but that is still the most expensive option. Where can i get a cheap stock MSP bottom end?
Not exactly sure what i did to my MSP but a couple months ago i was getting up to speed on the highway when i started to get what i think was fuel cut. (violent shaking in 3rd gear between 3000 and 5000 RPMs) followed by what sounds to be a rod slapping around, nothing was blown out the block so...
