I had the pop up screen HUD on my 2014 Mazda 3 sGT and only issue I had with it is sometimes it will get stuck half way and I need to restart the car to reset it. I ended up getting the whole unit replaced under warranty and didn't have as much issues with the new one. I like the windshield one...
Interesting, I did notice a low hum or whistling noise at certain speeds 50+ mph when I first got the car. However it's no longer there now, and I just hit 10k miles recently. I think I've only noticed the noise on the first few thousand miles. I couldn't figure out what it was, I thought it was...
Well not today but got it last week, Michelin premier LTX. This time I went with 235/55-19 since it's more suited for the slightly wider wheels I got. I have a few hundred miles on them and they are really quiet. The 2017 is already pretty darn quiet but after getting lightweight wheels I got...
My 2014 Mazda 3 has the flip up HUD so I'm used to having it and appreciate it on that car that it projects directly to the windshield. Only issue I had was when wearing polarized sunglasses. I have rx Oakley sunglasses and it makes the HUD really dim. Ever since I tinted the windshield I never...
Have you thought of trying the JBR drop in filter? Had it on my mazda 3 and that was the first thing I did on the cx-5 as well. It won't add power but gives better throttle response. JBR filter is similar to the k&n one but without oil. The oem filter makes the car feel as if it has a stuffy...
The only thing I wanted from the premium package was the HUD, memory seat and heated steering wheel. I personally really like the HUD ever since I had it in my 2014 mazda 3, it's even better on this car since it doesn't use that plastic screen that flips up. I know I'll regret it later down the...
I too was parked next to a white nx today and my aunt almost got into the wrong car. NX is nice but the cx5 is still be best bang for the buck. If I go lexus I will be going rx.
What color did you get? I can't stand LED with blue tint on it, it gives me a headache. I haven't tried pure white yet but I changed my interior lights to warm white LED and I don't get a headache. It's not as warm as incandescent bulbs but enough to give it an OEM feel.
I've had it happened once, hit the sunroof auto close and then while closing the front windows the sunroof opened back up. So far only happened once so I didn't think much about it.
Every once in a while, when I'm backing out of my parking spot at home, the cross traffic alert will beep even though nobody or nothing was there. I didn't really think much about it until recently my mom mentioned the neighbor that passed away about a year ago. Then I realized that he used to...
I was going to buy those a while back, thought they kind of matches the trim above the glove box compartment. My piano black trim still look fine for now, will probably get these to cover them up if it gets too scratched later on.
I got the extended warranty from dealer but it's 3rd party. $1200ish extended it to 7 years/100k. I got it on my 2014 Mazda 3 too and used it to replace the heads up display. After trading in for the cx5 I got a refund for the prorated amount. I'm probably not going to get my money's worth for...
The stock wheels are probably 29-30 pounds, the wheels I got is just under 23 pounds each. I'm using the same tires. Overall I think I saved a little over 20 pounds.
I am using warm white LED for my interior, swapped it over from my 2014 mazda3 after using it for a few years. I can only do warm white LED, any hint of blue will give me a headache :/
I was able to fix the buzzing/rattling sound from my a pillar by the tweeters. I pulled the weather strip out so I can access the inside, I then just cut up a tiny piece from an old tshirt and rolled it up and shoved it inside so to make things sit tight against each other. So far that seems to...
