Have you changed the brake pads recently? I put EBC reds on my CX-7, they stopped great but cooked a front caliper and hub and warped both front rotors.
EBC of course said I should have installed their rotors too.
"and 3 separate salespeople were unaware of the existence of the heated mirrors?"
Having worked for dealers as a parts manager a salesperson is usually the last I would ask for info. The GM and a salesmen who both said they drove CX-7's told me the CX-7 only had one power outlet, it had two. I...
Not sure if this will be an issue for you or not but the male plug on my trailer that worked fine on my CX-7 doesn't fit the female on my 2014 CX-5.
I guess that was the excuse I needed to upgrade the trailer to LED lights because the lights came with a new harness :)
Whatever you end up with be sure to check the 4 pin plug, yesterday I took my trailer to Home Depot, good thing it was a daylight run because the old 4 pin plug didn't fit in the male side that came with the hitch on my CX-5.
It was the excuse I needed to upgrade the trailer to LED lamps, they...
Be careful buying an aftermarket extended warranty, the fine print lets them wiggle out if you didn't stick to the service plan, didn't use ASM mechanics or factory parts and that means no upgrading parts too!
My dealer has free oil changes thru a deal with Castrol and as long as you meet their schedule they extend the engine warranty to 100,000 miles. The catch is they are not free because there are a few other things they charge you $99 for so there is that $30 a month.
I don't know if it's...
The Mazda owners manual list bulb types in the spec section.
The only issue I ran into changing them in the past was some 7440's on Ebay were too fat to go thru the hole and no you can't put K-Y on them to make them fit!
I'm confused because I thought the first service at 7500 miles was just the oil change and check the car for any issues. I had mine done last week and that was free.
The oil being dirty again by the time you got home happens because when they drain it they don't get it all but for a fee they'll...
Well the plan was to keep my CX-7 and trade my wifes toyota for something more interesting like maybe a Lotus or RX-7 but the CX-7 came to a violent death. It had been trouble free for 150,000 miles except for problems I caused by putting too aggressive brakes on it so we went for another Mazda...
Yes the front and rear are different bulbs. The front has one amber bulb for parking and turn, the rear uses one bulb for parking and stop and another amber bulb for turn.
The rear parking and stop light bulb is an easy replacement, no resistor needed for the LED's.
I had done it on my CX-7...
My CX-7 had a better view out the rear quarters because of the bigger rear windows. The view out the back of the CX-5 is about the same however about a month ago I had to take the drivers side rear seat headrest off to fold the seat down and the view is so much better it will stay off until...
The DRL's are not focused so putting HID's in there will just blind everybody on the road BUT they will see you coming and that's what DRL are for :)
I went with the iJDM LED's and I like the color.
I shrink wrapped mine but taking it out is a PIA, it would have been a good time to add the bug screen to the radiator and upgrade the horn while I had it apart.
Installed LED DRL's last night from iJDM, the rain last night washed the yellow tree pollen off saving me from having to wash the car today but it still needs a vacuuming out.
