Factory rims are 7" wide. My understanding is widest tire would be 235mm. Do a search on this forum. Others going wider than 235 have had to get aftermarket rims.
I just updated my 2017 from firmware 70.00.352b to 74.00.230a. The update procedure was easy and took about a half hour. Everything appears to be ok except for the radio. About half of the HD radio stations that I use to get, no longer work. Has anyone else seen this?
I voted for the CX-5. I actually prefer the silhouette of the CX-50 but the excessive black plastic cladding and the fake black plastic vents turn me off.
I ordered the 31mm and can say they are too long for the map light and cargo light. The dome light fit is tight but acceptable. I plan to return the 31mm and order the 29mm.
Update: I received and installed the 29mm LEDs and they fit perfectly. They are very bright. I find the 6000K color a...
I'm confused. My understanding is USA gen2 CX-5 had no manual transmission option. Are you by any chance in Canada? Check this link: 2017 Mazda CX-5 to Drop Manual Transmission
No. You don't need to figure out if battery is good. Mazda dealer needs to figure it out. I've been through a similar experience with battery weak from car not being used much. Local mechanic claimed battery was bad. I called Mazda and they said they would replace the battery under warranty only...
I have a 2017 Touring that has been rock solid since new. The only issue was soon after purchasing, I noticed the left rear seatbelt was frayed/damaged. Dealer fixed it under warranty. I have had mice in the car but I park outside in a wooded area. If you haven't done it yet, I suggest you check...
Do you still have the 17s? Try putting them back on and see if the noise goes away. This will help you isolate problem to tires vs. brakes. What is make, model, age of your 18 inch tires? Have you checked for defects such as flat spots, out of round, etc.
Never use sanitizer on a plastic LCD display! The alcohol in sanitizer will ruin it. That's probably what happened. Also, don't use glass cleaner like Windex. Best to use water and microfiber cloth.
Dealer can replace the infotainment screen easily.
Replacement battery needs to support I-ELOOP:

The Costco Interstate Group 35 battery supports I-ELOOP.
Modern alternators are controlled by the ECU to achieve smart charging. CX-5 ECU monitors battery "state of charge" and load to control alternator voltage for a flooded lead acid battery. If you install an AGM battery, the ECU doesn't know it; it still uses the charging profile for a flooded...
The CX-5 OEM battery is flooded lead acid. The alternator is set up for charging flooded lead acid battery. If you install an AGM battery, it may not charge correctly. I recommend staying with a flooded battery like the Costco Interstate Group 35.
If you suspect you have mice, check the cabin air filter. They love to hang out there. I recently screened the firewall opening that leads to the cabin air filter. It is a relatively easy job because the windshield cowl is split so you just need to remove the passenger side of the cowl. There is...
