These are the same as the EL Protege/Protege5 sills only they dont light up. I believe Pr5Owner sells these too. He is a reliable seller and his definitely come with two big sills for the front and two small ones for the back. these ebay ones look like they may just be the two big ones.

What is the key to sealing them up good? I want to paint mine but the main thing holding me back is not sealing it up right.

Weird man, I was going to say exactly all this stuff. I wouldn't have mentioned lowering though. It is more like 10th on my list for noob appearance mods, not 5th. These are the things that I have or plan to do to my car. Also, try some inexpensive interior mods, such as DaveB rings or door sills.
