C'mon guys, y'all can do better than what's been posted so far. Everyone is focusing on the driver instead of the vehicle. What was "regular" maintenance? All we know so far is the air filter is clean. How many miles/kms are on the vehicle? Were the plugs changed? Were the COPs changed? Was the...
If the headlamps on your 2014 were not HID to begin with, then maybe the mounting is different as ours swivel from side to side when turning and there is a mechanism for that?
On the other hand, after 11 years and 145k miles of driving, my HIDs still work just fine.
The OEMs on my 2014 were A23s and I always felt they were a very solid handling tire. I now have the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s and I absolutely love them. The road grip is outstanding! I have about 15k miles on them now and the tread is wearing very evenly and well. They are also pretty...
@integ3
Not sure if you got your new tires or not, but I LOVE the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s. The road grip they have is extraordinary, even in the wet. Like you I have a seperate setup for winter, so these tires are perfect for me for not-winter. The ONLY drawback is with the...

Just submitted my order to MazdaSwag for the same parts you ordered. The prices seem to have dropped slightly. My total before shipping was $496.34 for all the same part #s. I won't be installing it all myself, my regular mechanic doesn't mind me bringing OEM parts to install. I'll...
@Kedis82ZE8
Did MazdaSwag send you any value line (MV) parts, or were they the regular ones? I'm thinking of ordering all those same parts for my brake job, but don't want any MV parts.
As I posted in a different thread on here, I just purchased these same plugs last week from Amazon. Identical to A, B, C & D above. The resistance readings on mine were all within spec. I went one step further and contacted Niterra North America. After I sent them pics of the plugs and the code...
Installed them today. Pic is of the NGKs I took out with 74,715 miles on them. 30 minute job. Engine runs fine.
If you are going to do your own plugs, I highly recommend using a spark plug socket like this one. It has internal clips to hold the plug securely, makes the job so much easier and...
Actually, I just made sure that it was Amazon as the seller. Both times I ordered I got genuine NGK.
Here's the link to what I ordered:

I received my plugs from Amazon. A visual inspection (per the numerous videos online) made them appear to be genuine. Then I did the resistance test as specified in this video and they passed (values were 5.22, 5.46, 5.94 and 6.24). And finally, I reached out to Niterra North America. I got a...
Oh I definitely will. I did check the ones I got in 2018 and they were legit, so I'm hoping the supplier is still selling the legit ones. If not, back they go.
And by the way, this video is excellent on how to spot the difference.

I just bought 4 of the NGK plugs (94124 - ILKAR7L11) for $38.88 on Amazon (they arrive today). It's the same supplier I bought my last set from in 2018. I installed those at 66K miles and I now have 135K miles on my CX-5, so time for another change. The NGK plugs have performed flawlessly.
As search on here about mufflers pretty much comes up with just folks wanting to change theirs out for performance gains. My question instead is has anyone had to replace their muffler because it was failing? Mine seems louder than it used to be, but it doesn't leak or anything, it's just a bit...
It is an involved locksmith process if you only have one fob. If you have 2 fobs, you can program a 3rd one by yourself (procedure in the owner's manual) and just have the emergency key cut at a hardware store. So when I lost one of my fobs (2014 CX-5), I bought 2 replacements online and had the...
Chuckling at all the above comments as I'm in somewhat the same boat - I turn 70 next month. Last month, with great effort as usual, I swapped out my Blizzak DM-V2 snow tires for my summer Michelin Sport Pilot 4 A/S tires. I always wash and wax the tires/wheels that I take off before I store...
