I agree with azuzu. Once I began the install process it became clear where I needed to do the trimming. It is not difficult, just take your time and don't cut until you understand where things will attach.
I ordered a number of accessories right after getting my CX-9 (mats, mud guards, cargo net, etc.) and found mazdaswag.com to have the best pricing. Customer service was also excellent.
I have a '19 GT. I was mostly interested in the ventilated seats. I have found that they work well unlike the '19 RDX that I test drove.(hot climate here). I also wanted the factory integrated Android Auto but haven't used it yet. I knew that may be the case but thought it would help to...
Sorry, I didn't see your post earlier. Bought it at Chapman on Bell Rd. We wanted the '19 for the Android Auto/Apple Carplay and ventilated seats. Can't compare the gauge cluster as I only saw the older one during test drive and wasn't focused on it. I blanketed emails to all Phoenix area...
I compared the CX-9 to other SUVs that cost much more and chose it over them. Yes, it has some compromises - it has to in order to remain at the price point it's at - but for me the compromises were acceptable. I'm all in favor of improving the vehicle wherever possible including those areas...
I purchased the '19 over an '18 primarily for the ventilated seats (I live in AZ) and Android Auto/Apple Carplay. I've since come to appreciate other added features like the 360 camera and folding mirrors. I only test drove the '19 so can't compare quietness from first hand experience but as...
I think you're wrong but am not positive. We've found that address entry works much more reliably through voice entry so we use that almost exclusively. We quickly figured out not to include the zip code when using voice entry (our old car wanted the zip, the CX-9 doesn't seem to like it).
No drilling was required for the OEM mudguards but some small notches needed to be cut in the inner wheel well liner and, as I recall, in the mudguard itself. It took me an hour or so to install all four being careful not to make any mistakes - especially with the cutting. Mine is a '19 but...
We purchased a CX-9 Grand Touring because it met nearly every one of our criteria for a new vehicle with a much higher value proposition than any of its competitors, including those costing a great deal more. We were a bit unsure about the 2018 but once ventilated seats and Apple...
I've been using Nextzett Cockpit Premium (used to be called 1Z Einszett Cockpit Premium) for quite a few years. It works very well to clean most interior surfaces including clear plastics like the instrument cluster lense - so little to no worry about what you get it on. What I like best about...
I installed a Curt 12156 class II hitch with 1-1/4" receiver on my 2019 CX-9 for my bike rack (1-Up USA). The best price I could find at the time was from etrailer.com. It was simple to install. I was able to do it myself although the the Youtube videos I watched called for a helper. It's a...
I went through almost the exact process as you and had many of the same criteria. We ended up with the CX-9 and both my wife and I are very pleased with our decision. We've had ours for a few months, not years, but so far we are extremely happy with it. it's a great vehicle and a great value...
