No, I dont believe so. The garage that worked on my car assured me that they bedded the pads in properly for me, as they knew I was going to the track the next day. Im confident in their work in that regard, as they are a racing-centered garage. I had massive brake squeal that first day with...
I broke mine in the best way possible - stomped on the brakes at 100 MPH at the end of 2 straightaways....over and over and over again during an open track event. I highly recommend it :D
So this is what I actually did for a "performance updgrade" to my brakes:
Centric Premium vented blank rotors front, solid blanks rear
Hawk Performance Plus pads front and rear
Goodridge G-Stop stainless steel brake lines
Ate Super Blue Racing brake fluid
I had to go with the HP+ because no...
I had this noise in my left rear after upgrading to new rotors and performance pads. I thought it might be the calipers - I was close, it was the brake pad not being shimmed up properly, and it rattled every time I hit a bump. Tightened it up, sound went away (for now at least)
uwtriguy....
Today I ran the above mentioned brake set-up at an open track event. If you are looking for massive braking power, go with this set-up. Definitely an improvement over OEM rotors/pads/lines. Being more performance oriented, the Hawk HP+ pads become fairly quiet once they heat up...
I will have some new user input on Centric and Hawk shortly. I had the following installed on my 2007 Mazda 3 i-touring sedan today:
- Centric Premium vented blank rotors
- Hawk Performance Plus brake pads
- Goodridge G-Stop stainless steel brake lines
- Ate Super Blue Racing brake fluid

I am upgrading this week to summer ultra-performance Dunlop Direzza Star Spec Z1s. I'll give you some feedback once I get them on. They run around $100 each. If you want to maximize your car's handling, get a highly rated performance tire - just upgrading that alone will make a huge...
I'm debating if its worth doing or not. Is it even possible to boost our car another 100 HP??? I'd be happy with that (drive2)
I'm questioning if its even worth it - when is the money no longer justified when you are trying to boost a 150 HP car by 100 HP or more? All of those modifications...
Thanks for posting that Amaff, thank God she was alright - I think anyone that takes their car on a track in any way whatsoever should watch a clip like this once in a while to remind themselves that we are involved in a high risk activity.

Hey Major Error and bigjae1976, I took your advice - car goes into garage Tuesday for the following performance upgrades on my all stock OEM components:
1) new brake lines installed, Goodridge G-Stop Stainless Steel
2) brake fluid flushed and replaced, Ate Super Blue

C. Smock, sorry for the delay!
I ended up sticking with my stock wheels for now 16X6.5, putting on 205/55R16 Dunlop Direzza Star Spec Z1s. I took Major Error's advice to stick with OEM wheels to try my hand at autocross in stock class and see how I like it.
As fas as the Megan Racing 2"...

Hey Chrissor, what is that spoiler make, model, and size on your white 3? Do you have any other pics you could post of your car? I really like that spoiler!
I know there is a turbo kit made by F2, plus Tripoint is selling one, but both are for the 2.3L engine.
Does anyone make a turbo kit for the 2.0L Mazda 3 ???
I decided to go with the following for a brake upgrade. On the way are the following:
Centric Premium Plain Vented Rotors (Black)
Hawk High Performance Street Pads
Goodridge G-Stop Stainless Steel Brake Lines
I'll keep everyone posted on how this setup performs vs. the OEM rotors/pads/lines...
