For one it's just 7hp (263 / 270) the 274 figure was a result of SAE correction so its totally moot and I did factor that in! Hell even if I add 5-10hp to the MS6 it would still be significantly behind the MS3.
YouTube videos? LMFAO!!!!!!!!! Yeah different DYNO’S don’t read differently and...
Maybe it’s just me but I’d rather own a car that is more rewarding and exciting to drive vice. one that’s merely quick. It’s often the immeasurable qualities of an automobile that get over looked. This is a shame because these “immeasurable qualities” are what makes an automobile so great and or...
Assholes drive all kinds of cars / makes and models. They aren't restricted to just entry level German cars such as the 3-series. Hell I know of plenty idiots whom drive MS3’s, SI’s, S2K’s, 350/370Z’s, G35/37’s, etc. I would never let a supposed “stereotype” dictate what type of vehicle I drove...
Yes the MS3 puts down significantly more power to the wheels. It's fairly common knowledge that FWD is A LOT more efficient at actually getting the power to the ground. An MS3 will put down around 225-230whp on average where as the MS6 will put down around ~ 205- 210whp.
So what we have here...
Honda S2000
That’s probably what I’ll be driving once my car hits the 60k mark. It seems as though the MS3 will go down in history as one of the most unreliable vehicles in modern history. It’s like every time I turn around I hear about engines blowing, motor mounts, axles breaking, etc...
Not to try and discourage you from getting another MS3 or anything but have you looked into the 370z, EVO X GSR or Gen Coupe? They're about 5-7k more but maybe you could swing it or pick up a certified used one for about the cost of a new MS3? Just something I would be thinking about if I were...
You guys to understand that the onboard trip computer is WAY off the mark right?
Mine says I'm getting 19.XXmpg but in reality it's like 16-17mpg at best.
This car is gas hog unless you're cruising on the HWY or pussy footing everywhere.
You can't be serious!
You think the MS6 puts down higher #'s on a DYNO vs. a MS3? Big negative!
We’re talking FWD vs. AWD here. It’s not even close.
1/4 times? No the MS3 isn't exactly suited for running the 1/4 mile yet it still produces better times vs. the MS6. How often to you stop light...
- 450 fewer pounds
- 7-10% more power being applied to the ground where it belongs
- A smaller more agile vehicle
- A vehicle with far superior passing power / at speed acceleration
- A vehicle with better accommodations for gear, personal items, etc.
- Maybe AWD is more of a burden where you...
That's funny seeing as the MS3 is actually quicker around any track both have been tested on.

Taking a step down? We're talking about a MS6 here not a BMW 335i lol. And generally if you're "taking a step down" you're switching to something with inferior performance. That's simply not the case here. The MS3 kills the MS6 at everything minus maybe 0-60 runs and depending on where you live...
Oh yeah?
- Ask/ mention anything about their lame "thank you / groan" operation and see how quickly you get banned and insulted to no end.
- Donations? same deal. They beg and when you say anything against it they insult to no end.
- Show you have an opinion unique of the the outspoken...
Yeah and it's the opposite over where I live.
It doesn't prove anything.
Smart people buy a car based on what they think of it NOT what others think. That's just being a sheep.
The only person seemly getting their "panties in a bunch" is you for one.
It's hard to see my point of view?? It’s hard for you to comprehend that lighter weight and a significantly better power to weight ratio equals faster car??
Did I say being “faster” is all that matters? No, that’s you...
No, like when you need / want to accelerate at speed (like when you need to merge onto the HWY / make a pass, etc) what’s that have to do with being a “ricer”?
The MS3 weighs like 450lbs less and loses far less power via the drive train. Bottom line is that it's A LOT quicker when you need it...
Well, seeing as you live in Florida I would say the MS3 would be an upgrade for the most part performance wise. It's lighter, faster, and more agile than the MS6. The MS6 might be quicker from a stop to 60 but that’s about it. Personally, I’d rather be in a car that’s quicker at speed such as...
Drive it and see if you like it better.
Personally I like the under stated look of the 1st Gen MS3. Performance is a wash but the 10' MS3 rides smoother on rough surfaces.
