The tint is applied to the inside, so not really. It just tripped my sunglasses out so much that I couldn't wear them, so the tint did the exact opposite of what I wanted and made me squint more.
My tint guy talked me into a light tint on the windshield and it SUCKED. Basically, wearing polarized sunglasses = blind.
I ended up paying an arm and a baby's leg to have it removed. Tint is like tattoos like that, it's much more painful to get rid of than to put on.
If you're in America you're gonna get pulled over with 20% on the fronts. There are like 2 states where 20% is legal.
Most states allow 35%.
The number refers to how much light it lets through, so the lower number the darker the tint.

Mazda replaced the engine in my Protege5 under warranty due to "oil starvation while cornering".
1: Those cars cornered too well for their own good. Mazda, please go back to making cars like that. and..
2: I'm glad I kept my oil change receipts, because I had to produce each and every one of...
Perhaps the coating is there simply to prevent rust on parts of the rotor that don't come in contact with the pads.
Check out this Miata's brake. Cosmetic or not, that rotor is being eaten.
I'm thinking probably because the auto tranny has a transmission cooler or something of the sort that makes it a different shape than the manual, so the pipe runs around it a little differently?
That's 100% thinking out loud. I really have no idea. lol
I did a little search of my own and learned that trying to find Mazda 5 parts is a lesson in sifting through Mazda MX-5 and CX-5 parts.
Good luck on the search...have you tried local junkyards and/or craigslist for a used one? Maybe you'll get lucky. I'm sick of going through MX-5 parts or I'd...
I've noticed over the years that dark colors seem to get dirty quicker than lighter ones. I had a sunlight silver protege for years and it hid dirt pretty well. My new car is more gunmetal colored and it definitely needs washes more often than the old car.
I've never heard of someone's mirrors stopping folding, and if you came from a 2011 Nissan you already know about Japanese paint. Also, if you're coming from a Murano, drive a CX-5, then make a decision.
There will be no comparison. The CX-5 will be quicker, more comfortable, more high-tech...
Pretty obvious, but just making sure the system is burped. 👍
Start the car up COLD (Don't ever take the cap off when the engine is hot) and take the radiator cap off. As the car warms up the coolant drain into the engine. Keep topping it off until it's completely full then put the cap back...
I'm pretty much here, youtube, the RX-7 club or on some sort of Mazda Fakebook group. ..Or down at the end of the street checking the surf.
Duck Duck Go and Opera work great and don't make money by selling my personal info. 👻
Yikes.
A few years ago, some lady almost killed me while I was getting out of my car. Took my door OFF with her minivan. She had insurance from Tijuana and then took off completely never to be seen again, but that's a different nightmare.
Anyway, after a ton of research, I ended up just...
I just helped my dad put a dash-topper on his Ford Edge for the same reason. I don't know why car manufacturers don't just put some kind of non-reflective material on the dashboard. Forget the seats, put the Alcantara on the dash!
Anyway, the dash topper fixed the problem, no more reflection...
Back in the day I wanted to turbocharge my P5...maybe even put an Mazda Speed Protege engine in it.
After researching all the little things, it was just not worth the money. I ended up selling the P5 and buying an MSP. They're worth about the same, but one is much faster.
What I mean is...
For offroading, something with a ladder-on-frame body and 4LOW are more important than a skid plate or a lift kit.
Be careful up there...Take that CX-5 offroad enough and you can total the car. It was built for light snow and maybe getting up driveways in the mud. Not really for 4x4ing.
Here...
