Installed the ID7 tweaks. Installed V70 firmware. Installed CarPlay hub and wires. Made sure everything worked. Re-installed a few tweaks (custom background image, no disclaimer and touchscreen all the time). Miller time!

There is a setting, not a switch to turn it off. Go into the infotainment under (Settings) (vehicle) (lighting) (ambient lighting) and select "OFF". I have mine set to DIM, for some reason I received mine set to high from the factory. I suspect yours is the same.

I ordered from a different dealer and got the same thing. An e-mail today saying the order was cancelled as they couldn't get the parts. I'm still searching for a local source, but I also put in a request at Japanparts to see if they can get them.

Looks good, what version did you get? It's been almost a year and I still haven't installed my front plate, but if I get ticketed for that I think I'll go in this direction.

I don't believe so. It's free if you have a 2018 6, but I believe we still have to pay if we want a retrofit to the CX-9.

For the record I did end up going back and revising the wiring. I spliced in a section of wire to make it longer and then ran it across the trunk (underneath the mats) and through a grommet in the trunk floor, then back over to the hitch. I then secured it to the hitch with zip ties. Much easier...

I was able to buy the cables and the Aux hub online today, it cost me $150.00 + shipping. Downloaded V70 last week, so now I'm tapping my fingers in anticipation.

Yep, stickers, baseball cap, pen, keychain in a nice box set. Stickers are still in the box, along with the keychain. I wear the ball cap all the time, and the pen is nice.
