To OP: I am in SF Bay Area.
I was quoted $1700 for the timing chain cover seepage. (before Covid. Now, probably >$2500 considering the inflation) To be fair, he needs to lift the engine, etc. Not an easy job.
As HyFlyer said, if you don't see oil on the floor, let it be. I did. After 2 yrs, I...
Congrats.
I have been looking for a NSX for many years.... 2nd-gen ('97 to '05), especially the 2000. No luck so far.... and pending approval from my queen if one shows up.
Based on what I read: Two reasons.
1. Cost: CX-70 does not need to be re-certified since it is essentially the same as CX-90 w/o 3rd row seat and some cosmetic changes.
2. Interior space: CX-60 is based on the rear-drive chassis (longer hood). The interior space of a CX-60 is not much bigger...
It seems to me, the processing unit (usually a small black box) of parking sensors fails (not the sensors).
If you can locate it (by following the sensor wires), check the connections to the unit.
This message: ""SCBS Reverse Malfunction." tells me that the BCM cannot detect this black box...
I replaced the windshield on my '14 Mazda3 with Safelite windshield.
Everything works well. There is rain-sensing on my Mazda3. I tested it.
The technician did test it before he left.
It is hard to compare fairly, that is not good for CX-70 if many have that impression.

What OP described (I know, it was from 2020) seems like due to a bad switch.
A common issue is condensation inside the housing.
That would cause the sensor to be over-reacting initially until condensation is gone.
This usually happens to mine in winter night when car just got started up (and...
I think CX5 is at perfect marketing position... don't mess with it.
CX-30 is doing well, so is CX-50.
Mazda should bring CX-60 to NA to replace CX-70, which is not selling well. (20% of CX90)
If one does not need the 3rd row seat, just remove it. Why pay the same or more?
Mazda saved money by...
Seems to me, they are the same according to this part store's fitment info.

I second what wlong01 suggested.
Have a friend jump start your CX5 and go visit a dealer or wherever you bought the battery from to do a load test. New battery could be defected also.
Another possibility is there is a current drain in your CX-5. If the low battery issue persists, you need to...
Personally, I don't want EVs until solid-state battery is used (safer, lighter or longer range under same weight, and less temp dependent). I don't want my house to burn down, especially.
A lot of new batteries that claim to be solid-state are actually semi (having gel-type electrolyte)...
What I read ... (non-English site)
1. new and proprietary hybrid from Mazda. (as said)
2. ICE used will be Skyactiv-X for better efficiency
3. big body/structure change to accommodate the hybrid system.
Not just front/back refreshing like what we saw for 2017.
4. interior will be more like...
Indeed, Snake.
AutoLock is more useful when both your hands are busy.
e.g. In a rainy day, one hand with umbrella and the other carrying some stuff....
My CX-5 is set to ParkGear-n-UnlockAll mode.
So this is not a problem for me.
I can shift gear to Park (engine on or not), and walk out to the back.
(no need to bring fob with you)
The key point is.... the open button on the hatch does not unlock the hatch.
It has to be unlocked first.
Imagine...
Don't worry about the warranty since you already reported this issues to dealer. It is in their record.
On to the issue. You can bring it to other Mazda dealers if possible.
Sounds to me something is loose in the suspension.
To OP.
I just tested mine. No problem.
I closed the door (driver side) and stood by the door.
My daughter opened the passenger side door and closed it while I was standing and waiting.
The Auto-lock beeped to confirm when she closed hers. No issue with my '22.
Two possibilities.
1. one of the...
CX90 : CX70 = 5 : 1 ratio.
Mazda should have brought the CX-60 to NA instead of CX-70.
I would be very interested to get one. An Inline-6 version.
What surprises me is that CX-50 is selling well.
I think this is where your confusion came from.
Mazda's FOB (adv keyless feature) has a range of roughly 3 feet only.
Your Honda might have 10 feet range.
Stay close when the last person close the door. It should work.
Longer is not always better in this case.
(e,g, if you keep your fob close...
