Wow, that's a pretty heavy OEM wheel! I just hope my OZ Racing wheels hold up to the beat up roads around here. They're supposed to be stronger than normal gravity-cast wheels, but I'm still nervous. I'm hoping to get them on in a couple of weeks.
I asked the question of CorkSport in their forum on this site. The dyno is for the 2.5L, but it was done on a different dyno that measures power differently and results in lower numbers. Apparently MUCH lower numbers, as it's about 30 hp less than their OEM exhaust dyno. However, the power...
For now I'm just using up the OEM tires as my summer tires. Once those are worn out, I'll have to decide what tires to go with. I like the look of some wider rubber, like the P235 tires my Focus had, but you don't gain much real-world driving grip going wider, and it will hurt fuel efficiency...
Wow, I couldn't disagree with that more. This car actually has rather good steering feel for a modern car, especially for one with fully electric power steering. The reviewers have commented on this, as well. I suppose the harshness of the suspension depends on what you're used to driving...
Have you driven more than one? There's always the possibility that there was something wrong with that one. I moved from a 2012 Focus Titanium hatchback with the Titanium Handling Package, and the ride was firmer on that car than on my new 3, although I still wouldn't describe it as harsh...
Does window tint count? :) That was my first, although I bought my OZ Racing summer wheels first, but they haven't been on the car, yet. Hopefully in a couple of weeks. My CorkSport intake is on its way right now. After that, sometime later this year or maybe early next, will be their...
I've thought about that, but I don't particularly want a trailer hitch on the back of my car. I do plan to go this route for my wife's MKX, which has the trailer hitch already.
CorkSport, I recently ordered your new 2014 Mazda3s (2.5L) intake. I'm curious to know what the gains are. The dyno graph that's on your site for that intake appears to be for a 2.0L engine based on the power outputs.
I'm not sure about the power gain--that dyno they have appears to be for the 2.0L engine. I asked them about it on Facebook, but didn't hear anything back. I'm assuming the power gain will be at least comparable to the 2.0L. Then again, we all know about assuming.
Thanks. I'll just skip Sunday. I would have liked to have seen the Pirelli World Challenge race in person, but I don't feel like going just for that and having to park with the peasants. :) I'll go Friday and Saturday, instead.
I just ordered mine, red silicone, red filter, black MAF, and black clamps. I'll probably kick myself for spending the money later, but I wanted to get this with some tax return money. I had a CorkSport intake on my 2005 Mazda3, and I liked it.
