You may want to go ahead and reread the link you gave. Nowhere in that article does it state that the system operates in the way that you suggest. Just the opposite in fact.
As for the security risk of having the doors automatically unlock on approach? That's true but that's why automatic...
I bought a used 2016 MX back in 2019. It didn't come with a card, and I bought one on Amazon, $80 at the time. The first card that I received didn't work AT ALL. I contacted the seller and was sent a new card, one that worked this time.
After inserting the card in the slot on the MX, with the...
If the system operates as you say, then why do we need to press a button at all?
As soon as the car senses your fob nearby, the doors should be able to unlock automatically. This could be an option that the user sets up in the lock behavior section of the infotainment system.
Our Mazdas can't...
I've said it before, and I'll say it again here.
Both of my Mazdas, a 2016.5 CX GT and a 2016 MX Club have the original firmware and both have ZERO issues.
I occasionally use the Nav and I listen to music via flash drives almost exclusively. No problemo.
Did you read post #28?
Where are you getting your info, especially the part about the low-freq signal that you believe is being generated by the car 24/7?
What would be the purpose of this, compared to how I said the system operates? Having this low-freq signal always on would be a security...
If this was the case, then there would be no need to press action buttons on the car or the fob. You would be able to just walk up to the car and open the door.
"the car puts out a low frequency signal that creates a field around it that is not very strong."
What would be the purpose of this...
How does the faraday box prevent the fob from draining?
If you're thinking that the fob transmits all the time, I believe that you're wrong. From an engineering standpoint it wouldn't make sense. BUT, if that is the case, how does the bag prevent the fob from transmitting? Is doesn't and it...
As long as it makes it past the warranty period and as long as the dealerships 'appear' to be doing their due diligence in taking proper care of your warranted vehicle.
There's only ONE reason that this dealership would be using an oil that's not specifically recommended by the manufacturer.
It's cheaper for them.
They most certainly wouldn't be using it because they feel that it's somehow better for their customer's cars, now, would they?
The owner's manual for my 2016.5 most certainly does list the correct fluid for the transmission, Mazda FZ. Page 9-4 in my manual.
Have you looked in your manual? The info is in the Specifications section.
Good luck to the OP!
Let us know how it goes.
IF you can spot the ring, and that's a BIG If. perhaps if you have a shop vac, or similar, you can fashion a small tube attached to the vac and use the tube to grab the ring by suction and get it out of the ductwork that way?
You emailed Swag and inquired about ordering the WPY filters rather than what they have on their website? And they even gave you a discount on shipping?
Trans fluid and brake fluid.
Be sure the use the fluids recommended by Mazda. As for how much of each? You'll have to do some legwork on this site for that.
Ah, you were talking about the maintenance app on your cell phone, right?
I misunderstood; I was speaking of the app on the infotainment system. I have zero experience with the phone app since my car doesn't support this.
On my CX there are actually 3 'warning' indicators that may need to be reset.
Oil change - fixed or flex
Maintenance reminder
Tire rotation.
If you reset one but an indicator still shows, one of the others is in need of being reset as well.
