Update: pulled the rear brakes and the pins were definitely locked. The noise was from the inboard pad's wear indicator. I replaced the pins with new, slathered them with brake grease, and really worked them in and out (of course I also replaced the pads). I should've replaced the rotors as...
That's what I'm thinking also. I did lube them, but probably not as much as I should have. I will also try to "polish" the pins a bit with steel wool... unless that's a bad idea.
Any tips or suggestions are always appreciated!
Are you blowing them, or is the paper separating from the frame of the speaker? I've had to reseal both front door speakers in my 14 CX-5 w/Bose because of the speaker frame rusting and separating from the speaker itself.
Hi all. I have a 2014 CX-5 Touring AWD w/112k miles on it. It is driven daily. Today after a long drive that was both city & highway, the rear end started making a light - almost squealing - noise. The noise stopped when at a standstill, and persisted while braking and even when coasting in...
I went with a Compustar 2 way system from Best Buy 3 years ago for my 2014 Touring and it was the best $250 I spent! No need to lose a fob to use it. The engine will shut off when the door is opened, but it's a small price to pay!
Interesting! I just bought these R1 Concepts from Amazon.

Anyone have experience with R1 Concepts?
I put the Compustar CS-4102 in my '14 CX-5 Touring. This worked great all winter. As with the others, the car shuts off when the door is opened. I also have to use the Compustar fob for unlocking the doors after it has been remotely started. I was prepared for this and have no issues with it...
You do not sacrifice a Mazda remote fob with this remote starter. I have the factory alarm on the car. When it's installed, you get a Compustart starter fob in addition to your Mazda fob - they both are on my key ring. IF you remote start the car with the Compustar fob (and that's the only...
Just picked up my 2014 Touring from Best Buy. They put the Compustar CS-4102 in it. Seems to work well. As with the others, the car shuts off when the door is opened, and the parking lights do not flash when starting the car. I also have to use the Compustar fob for unlocking the doors after...
I replaced my pads on my own a couple of months ago and now they squeal only when braking in reverse. Any thoughts? I replaced pads before on various cars with no problems (Toyota, Acura, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Saturn, Volvo)...
Check the Compustar products. I just ordered the CS4102-S-KIT for my 14 Touring. It was $260 on Best Buy online including installation. There was an extra $25 or so in additional parts.
It gets installed in a couple of weeks due to my schedule.
I just ordered the Compustar CS4102-S-KIT for my '14 CX-5 Touring. It is supposed to work with the PTS without losing a fob. I got it from Best Buy online for $260 including installation. I actually ordered one for my wife's '15 Honda Pilot as well. The feature that sold me on getting 2 is...
Mirrors are adjusted correctly. I can't see any of my car's sides in my mirrors. I still wish I had auto dimming side mirrors like my buddy's M3.
However, I don't want his payment or insurance bill!
Does anyone know of any kind of aftermarket or modifications that can be made to the driver's and possibly passenger's side mirrors that will convert them to auto dimming? Quite often at night I get annoyingly blinded by cars & trucks with either high intensity headlights, or poorly aimed...
