Welcome. I purchased a new 09 as well and could not be happier. It gets even better with a couple power and handling mods! Any plans with mods for the car?
^^ I was going to remove the rear emblem completely but discovered that I didnt want to mess with the two holes. They are about 1/8 inch... a little bigger than pin hole size:)
Nothing wrong with the ricer look if that is what one likes. Anyway, I'm not a fan of the ricer look but I like this and think that it has an aggressive, yet classy racer look. Nice job!
Have you run the Accessport Updater program yet? I had the same issue the other night and after deleting the maps and running the updates, it finally worked.
^^Thanks for the info hugador. I totally agree with you about applying the throttle. I have learned that this car likes the throttle inputs feathered rather that stomping on the pedal. Much better results that way. I will check out tuners on Cobb's site...thanks
I was lucky enough to find a local guy selling a few month old AP from his MS3 that he traded in for an STI. Paid 375 bucks! After reading the stories, I made sure to plug it in and verify it was unmarried before handing over the cash of course.
Installed the Stage1+MSCAI2 91 Octane v107 map on...
Installed TIP tonight. Not too bad on the install.
Results are better than I expected. Throttle inputs are much smoother and precise. Turbo engages faster, and the engine overall runs smoother and better.
For a hundred bucks and a little time to install, this mod is well worth it.
This is a reminder for me that even though these things happen, and this was an accident, we need to be especially careful and selective when we decide to open up the throttle...do burnouts...whatever. The consequence and liabilities for us are much greater in a higher performance car.
