I have photosync 70 on my windshield, blocks out a lot of heat and protects the dash. I have the HUD and when I wear my prescription Oakley sunglasses the display gets washed out. After getting the tint put on I can see the HUD much better. But yea with polarized sunglasses you get some rainbow...
That's why I buy fully loaded model to begin with so I don't get buyers remorse later on so probably for OP moving from touring to the gt for the extra goodies.
I use the mazda OEM ones on my mazda 3 and now the cx-5 and they're great. The hard folding ones are much more easier and faster to fold/unfold than the roll up ones. I had the roll up ones before and it was annoying rolling them up. Doesn't weigh too much and takes up just as much space (if not...
The link for the eBay one is on the first post by the OP. I have a 2017 GT. You can't use the little tray anymore on the eBay one but you can with the amazon one. Are you talking about the red inserts that it came with? They just come right out, it's not stuck to anything.
Are you talking about that little green light on the mirror that annoys you? I notice the light every once in a while but it never bothered me, interesting.
Oh yeah, I do like the design of the new Rav4 much better than the previous few generations, much less feminine looking. Not sure about the rear yet but front looks very similar to the 4runners, love those things :D Will I get one, probably not.
So true, that's how I feel too. I want mazda to do well but it's nice to be unique. I see a rav4 or rogue or crv everywhere and it gets boring.
As for the gen 1 vs gen 2 arguements lol it's just too funny. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I find the gen 2 very nice looking :D Then...
Yea it sits where the sliding tray used to sit. I'm not sure if it'll fit with a charger plugged into the outlet but it's okay with the USB cable that's plugged in and USB stick.
I got the amazon one today, it fits perfectly fine and didn't hit the usb drives that I have connected and there's a hole for the cable to come through.

It's funny how this forum goes all crazy over the new LED DRL setup and stuff, I feel they're so over rated now. When they were first introduced in the Audi it was very cool and even a few years back it was still pretty cool as Mazda incorporated into the mazda3 because not many other car...
Yea that was my worry too but from the looks of it there should be some space without hitting the USB, but we'll see. Wanted to give it a try while waiting for the eBay one to come in lol lol
Bummer if it doesn't fit, will have to see if I need to modify it or something. After looking around amazon there's a few different types of storage tray, got one off amazon to see how it works, it's different than the one I got from eBay and seems to sit higher and doesn't have the cutout for...
Finally finished my little weekend project, added chrome trim around the mirrors to give the black mirror some contrast. I didn't like the bright chrome look so I smoked it to give it the black chrome look. Had to do it a few times to get it that shiny black chrome look. Took a couple of pics...
I wouldn't know, I've had my windshield tinted on all my cars for the past 10 plus years and never had an issue. I don't use cheap tint on the windshield so never had issue with it bubbling or fading, do a search on photosync tint. For windshield I wouldn't go darker than the 70%, which is...
I haven't noticed but I use a gap filler thingy to prevent things from falling into the gap. It fills the gap and wraps around the seatbelt buckle so it doesn't bump around either.
I'm in SoCal and I currently have about 20% up front, 20% over the factory rear tint and 70% on the windshield. I originally had 35% up front but it was too light and the tint I used was expensive so I added a second layer of 55% to it. Just don't drive like a douche and you should be fine.
^ Nice, I don't like the cold white LEDs either, for some reason they give me a headache. I've been using warm white LED and they give OEM feel but brighter. Good move haha
