Yep, 7eregrine is correct. I just did this and WAV from USB stick sounds exactly like it's coming from a CD, you end up with a huge 37MB song file but that's because it's not compressed, I used WavePad and literally took only about a minute to rip from CD to WAV format.
use any sound...
fixed a shaky rear view mirror literally in 5 seconds, thought I'd share if some fellow CX-5 owners are experiencing the same this,
there's a Torx T20 screw at the bottom of the OEM rear mirror mount, just need to re-tighten and problem solved....
another benefit was what I though was an...
I have a CX-5 and use JDM ASTAR 1000,
trust me just get these,
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F2MUPZ0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
you won't regret it, bright as hell, no mod required, just plug and play, they fit the CX-5 perfectly,
sorry not sure about the CX-9...
Agreed, I have my favorite relaxation CD in my 2016.5 CX-5 that I go to when amateur drivers cuts me off and I need to cool down,
it definitely sounds better than the USB stick....
off topic: I like your signature "If it ain't Boeing I ain't going" I designed part of the electrical power...
just brainstorming, looks like for 2017, Mazda moved the AUX input jack from the center dash and hid it into the armrest cubby storage area.... this is good news for you !!....basically you can hide everything under the driver's armrest and no unsightly cables dangling around the center...
Thanks yrwei52, appreciate the compliment, there's no space from the top to clean without removing the airbox assembly,
I do recall reading somewhere that the radiator tube bracket can be easily detached to try to wiggle the radiator tube out of the way to reach the dipstick but I didn't try...
just my 2 cents, you probably don't want to tell dealers that you noticed the leak while you were servicing the front transfer case,
as soon as they hear that, they'll jump all over that and say you did something bad to car.........
just say you started noticing oil drops in your garage and...
just FYI, I was able to check the transmission dipstick WITHOUT having to disassemble the air intake........
I can understand why some may want to, it makes it easier, but just giving another option that it's not necessary......
first need to drop the plastic panels, for the CX-5 you DO...
oh sorry guys, I forgot in my write up,
I did a fusetap a while ago, see "blackcx5" post above for links, I followed those instructions on how to add a fusetap to the CX-5.
the links to the Valentine Radar and hardwire Dashcam was very useful.....
I like BlackCX5's idea of a "power...
for those interested:
I made these into cup LED's for the CX-5.......

these will fit the CX-5 cup holders,
no way I was going to spend $50 on cup LED's:

nice write up thx...... just a suggestion,
maybe a Neiko rounded spoon tip O-ring tool might be better and less likely to puncture the rubber boot ?
https://www.amazon.com/Neiko-20758A-Spoon-Remover-Piece/dp/B00I3RLN44
I got these, they work well, you get a lot more for the same price,
no need to spend $$$ on panel fasteners, they all pretty much work the same way as long as they are the 8mm diameter type...
just use a flathead screwdriver to pop them and they loosen then use a non-marring fork shape...
just got back from NY Auto show, agree with everyone, the new red color has to be seen in person to get the real feel of it, it has so much depth and shadowing/shine changes as you walk around the car
pictures don't do it justice, IMHO, that's the best looking color for the new CX-5, machine...
I'll try some new bulbs and readjust the aim and see if it improves, but I wasn't impressed with the light output, spread is even less than the stock OEM housings, you can see in the video.....it has distance and a good cutoff but no intensity, the passenger side was a tight fit because of...
got a chance to put in the HID projectors....
I don't recommend the iJDMtoy.com HID projectors , light output is tolerable but not as bright and spread out as I thought it would be..... video below
better to go with the Morimoto LED's IMHO.....
AGREE for you blackcx5, I got the projector fogs from iJDMToy.com and they are indeed FAR from plug and play,
but thanks to your heads up at least I knew what I was in for...
http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Mini-HID-Bi-Xenon-Retrofit-Projector-Fog-Lamps-p/70-126.htm
they're on sale now for about...
there's a tiny little gap between the cubby plastic molding and the "passenger airbag indicator" module, very tiny hard to see split but just enough to get a small AUX cabel connector thru, I snaked the AUX cable between that gap to behind the dash, makes for a much "cleaner" look instead of...
just got off the phone from a very reliable source at a Mazda dealership in NY,
Wantagh Mazda in Long Island will be getting in the 2017 CX-5 either today or tomorrow,
so like others have questioned, not sure how the east coast like NY and NJ are getting them so soon, but they are....
per...
for those interested, it is possible to get to transmission dipstick plug and bolt from underneath, just need to remove the plastic panel from underneath and feel for the bolt to remove the dipstick then refill from the top with a long flexible tube and funnel,
just offering another option...
confirmed this morning, no need to lift rear wheels to service the rear differential,
there is enough ground clearance to get in there and service the rear differential,
as another member said, the fill plug space is tight, it'll be easier to use an open end wrench to remove it.
make sure...
