Make sure you push in the center of the button, no up or down. I did the same thing at first.

I own a 2015 Sport with the 2.5. You can get it but I think you have to get an auto trans and maybe AWD only.

Mazda appears to have really buried the dipstick. Since I can't find "how to check" in the manual I guess I won't worry about it. I'll ask about it when I have service done. Have to see what the dealer says.

I own a 2015 Sport. I think the radio is fine for my needs. I have commented elsewhere that I think the FM antenna, where ever it is, could be improved. I thought it was in that shark thing but someone said it was in the rear glass. I would prefer a whip antenna.

Does the start button light go green when you push the brake? If it does I think this should eliminate the brake switch. As mentioned you could watch for the green light and keep trying the brake to see if you can catch a no green light situation.

Here in CT with temps below 15 F the blue light is off in about 10 minutes tops with no fan on. I think you have a fixable problem.
