if your getting wheel hop try launching at a higher rpm, wheelspin is mechanically better for your drivetrain than wheel hop. its a "lesser of two evils" kinda thing.
partly, i understand the point, the situation just seems slightly over stretched and exaggerated. Was he racing the other car? or did he just over-take them? b/c whenever i have to over take someone you better believe im full throttle (within reason), the on-coming traffic lane is not somewhere...
^ very true. but it would take something more extreme to get people out of roomy gas guzzlers and stop car manufactures from even producing them in the 1st place.
but i do like where your minds at, high gas prices hurts us all, but some more than others. whether we like it or not, it seems to...
Apexi AVC-R? or you could pull timing down low if have a piggy back etc... or are we looking for inexpensive ways to slow spool.
or you could just do like the old school msp pioneers and launch in 2nd. lol
maybe its the way he phrased it, I'm sure he wouldn't have gotten the same responce if he said "power slide"
and sadly I've been in a msp6 sliding around a corner. it can be done. and you will sh!t your pants (more soo if your NOT driving, IE me).
true to an extent, running your car almost empty often can kill aftermarket fuel pumps (old school walbros for example) over time.
remember guys, the fuel in the tank also serves as a medium to cool the pump. if you have a pump thats working its ass off to supply some crazy fuel (80psi fuel...
hmmm, that is odd, does it say "Mazdaspeed" on the back of it . . . b/c if not I'm afraid you purchased the wrong protege my friend.
however dont loose hope yet, stay on this forum long enough and we'll cut that time in half. promiss.
well how much oil a factory turbo car burns depends on what kind of power it was designed to handle which would dictate the clearances of said engine.
topped off means add w/e kind of oil you currently you have in the car to keep the dip stick showing Full.
i dont know about ANY type of oil, but turbo cars burn oil to some degree naturally and need to be topped off at least once before an 3 to 5k oil change.
my bad, i misunderstood. I thought the lines where for alky or meth direct injection. didn't realize fuel was being thrown into the mix too.
so could you describe what your using to control the addtional fuel system? an AFC? or is all this still classified till its finished? lol
btw props for...
