I think I'm in good shape as long as I don't drive it...a coworker sold his Explorer ST and is now in an X7 M60i after a short test drive. Dimensionally, the X7 isn't much bigger than the ST but it looks significantly larger. I'm in an Explorer ST as well and I don't want anything bigger. The...
I'm going to look at a X5 M40i and try real hard to talk myself out of going up to the M60i if I wind up buying. BMW has the engine/transmission figured out - but the steering/feel needs work.
Under the skin and badges, it's a Chevy Blazer. They bought most of it and slapped emblems on it. The interior screams GM parts bin.
*EDIT: Blazer, not Equinox - same difference though.
Puts existing dealer stock in a bit of a pickle for the CX90s. One dealer near me has a $4k gap between the same vehicle ordering new and the one that's been on the lot for 60+ days.
I've owned several turbo vehicles - the DI4 turbo in my Speed3 revved high to generate power. You could mod them but they were prone to throwing rods through the block. That's not what I'm after. I got far more power and a smoother engine from the inline 6 with a turbo.
The CX5 interior is...
The inline 6 turbo, mainly. But the overall vehicle is aging and should be replaced with the CX60. I don't care what they do with the CX50, it's got a weird interior and not enough headroom in the back seats.
I drove the CX5 - it's closer to the size I want but underpowered. I'm currently...
I'd guess that virtually no one who went out looking at a BMW X5 is going to cross-shop a CX70/90. The Lexus crowd is much more likely to *maybe* cross-shop a Mazda.
Mazda still seems to be that kid who doesn't know what he wants to be when he grows up - except that he's 19 now and lagging...
I don't think Mazda honestly knows - this feels more and more like a swing for the fences because it's so out of touch. Their whole strategy is overly complex (8 trim levels in CX90, not counting PHEV) and a 2nd, nearly identical model with very similar pricing that still misses the boat because...
Now that basic information and pricing are out - it seems that Mazda wants to push as many people to the CX90 as possible - which makes the earlier comment about CX70 sales being 30% of CX90 sales seem very plausible.
Only one exterior color, Jet Black Mica, is free of additional cost. 4 of the...
I can hope the 70 is slightly shorter but I realize it's unlikely for several reasons. An unknown number of things can change between a pre-production vehicle and the production vehicle. There's likely a reason or two why Mazda didn't release the specs with the reveal - they used parts on...
I've only waited for six months at this point - about eight months after I bought my Explorer ST and realized I was not going to keep it very long. I was also hoping for / expecting something 6-8" shorter than the CX90 based on what I'd read online and what the local dealer shared (neither of...
As a guy who has owned two Volvos in the recent past, I won't be going back to them until the reliability is better than Audi/BMW.
They're comfortable and drive nicely but they're expensive to repair and my last one suffered from really weird gremlins.
I'm going to hold judgement on both the...
I'll wait to see one in person before deciding if I'm disappointed. There's a lot that I like about this model even though I wanted it to be 8-12" shorter than the CX90.
I've been to two different dealers while considering the CX90 and the three different salespeople barely understood the trim levels. Chat up a service advisor and they can usually tell you what they write up the most from memory.
If it's the same size as a CX90 and only the rear seats are gone - may as well wait for one of the models to tank in sales and buy that one on a deal because they won't sell at the same rate.

2008 Mazdaspeed 3 GT
I'm looking to sell my very nice condition, well maintained 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 GT. This is a one owner car and is in excellent mechanical condition. All maintenance is up to date, title is clear/clean, and the car is ready for a new home. Currently...
I'm running the stock Bose headunit in my GT. I'm using a JL Audio CleanSweep and CL-RLC to add the sub/amp.
I replaced the door speakers with Infinity Kappa components in front and rear with a 12" JL Audio DVC sub. The system looks stock but will move a head of hair when turned up...plenty...
No...Sonic didn't send the wrong one-it's not a direct fit. I ordered the same part after asking on another forum and didn't find out until a month later when I got around to doing the installation that it wouldn't easily work. You can use it but you have to shave off the bottom part of the...
