Yeah it's just looking at all the videos on youtube the camera hardly shakes and made me expect a car that was much less "shaky" on the inside haha. I searched up ways to inspect the motor mount, do I just poke my finger in there or must I disassemble in order to check?
Sorry, terminology from my ownership of a Ford Explorer. The Computer system is called an ECU, and a "tune" is when you change the settings of it to optimize either performance or mileage.
So I told you guys I was about to get an P5...well today I went for a test drive in it and I'm not too impressed. However, I would like to ask what the benchmark for the P5 should be like. Here are some observations I made of the car that made me awry.
1) When engine starts seems to shake a lot...
Well mpg is an average of trips. For the trips when you're not needing to recalculate your mpg you don't need a full tank, as that is increased weight.
I hear bags of polyfill in plastic bags are also effective in killing vibrations in the air. A friend of mine put some of that in the headliner, put some in the rear cargo area (DO NOT PUT IN DOORS, water goes there), and behind speakers and it effectively dampened the cabin noise and increased...
I think this would be pretty cool to have. Maybe a sticky of some sort showing a log of the past 3 trips and your mpg average. For those of you wanting to maximize the mpg you can get out of your vehicle, maybe even include what mods have been done on certain trips to see if any change are...
Just curious, does anyone have a decibal meter or some sound measuring device to claim what is "loud" or "quite quiet"? I know that the iphones have an application (sorry it has to be jailbroken) that has a decibal meter and can read up to 180. If someone can get a reading of their cabin and...
I'm from Vancouver, so what I did was ship it to a local mail business in Washington just pass the border. What you do is pay them $3 per item (as it weighs more you pay more) and then you just drive past the border to pick up. Cost of gas- maybe $3, cost of taxes- usually a lot less since...
eBay is good for cosmetics, not performance. Please don't mess ur car up with eBay "performance" goods if you aren't willing to spend good cash for true performance. I can attest to this as I have went the thrifty eBay way and ended up with repairs costing as much as the actual OEM unit itself...
Exactly what he said. Get a relay harness with a fuse if you do get 55W just in case...or else it will melt a wire and it'll be hella fun trying to find which one popped.
Wow yours rusted pretty bad. But then again, my parents BMW just started to form some bubbles near the windshield...for no apparent reason too as it is all sealed around that area. I guess some cars suffer more than others. Thanks for the input everyone, keep em coming if it hasn't been posted yet.
1. What are VICS?VTCS screws?
2. How would I check this? Trying lifting the motor with a hoist?
3. I assume so, it is 126k KM, and I have warranty for it too.
4. Will check that.
5. No roof racks.
Thanks!
