Honda puts the same 2.4L VTEC in the Acura TSX as it does in the Accord, but it raises the engine redline and ups the compression a bit to bump it up to 201hp from 180hp. For all that increased compression you need higher octane gas.
Whenever you get around to it, I'd be interested in reading your step-by-step CAI install. Or will it be a short ram intake (SRI) install? Please include pics and any applicable product #s.
I took a look at the YouTube video you linked to also. It's basically unwatchable since the guy...
Click the link below to get a sense for the type of trailer I'm planning to build. I've been waiting all winter to get going and now it's finally starting to warm up. I'll post the mulit part trailer build as I go...
If the Mazda5 has better acceleration than your CX-5, I'm assuming that you ended up with a CX-5 that had the 2.0L Skyactiv-G instead of the 2.5L Skyactiv-G (155 vs 185 hp).
I haven't done any towing yet. I'm building a mini storage trailer on a harbor freight frame (40 x 48 inches) to tow. I'd use it for camping and general utility. The trailer box will be fully enclosed and it'll have a roof rack on it that I can use my existing bike racks wIth. It'll weigh...
Last spring I also tried with hand tools to break loose my front sway bar bushing bolts. I wanted to replace them with greaseable polyurethane bushings from Energy Suspension. I did this with the front wheels off, for winter to summer tire/rim swap, and the car up on jack stands. I could not...
Last month I installed a direct-fit Class I trailer hitch on my 2012 Mazda5.
Hidden Hitch #60291 purchased from Carid.com. I bought the hitch originally in January as part of a great post-Xmas deal. I went with the Hidden Hitch because the price paid includes the draw bar unlike other hitches...
I'm posting this installation as part of an ongoing project. The project also includes installation of a Class 1 hitch, wiring package for towing, and construction of a mini storage trailer with roof rack for camping and general utility.
I installed this transmission cooler back in September...
I replaced oem rotors and pads on our 2008 with Centric Premium front and rear with Centric posi-quiet ceramic pads. It's not a high performance upgrade but it's a couple steps better than stock. I also have a 2012 Mz5 that still has oem brakes and the replacement set I put on the 2008 is much...
I don't disagree that there's a size difference at all. whether it causes problems or not has everything to do with how much the oversize difference is and the wheel dimensions with offset. There's certainly an acceptable window on most, if not all, cars.
