Not sure if this has been posted, but I just found out today that the 2008 Mazda CX-7 has been recalibrated to run regular 87 octane. they recommend premium, but running regular will be ok for '08. This info was in a new Mazda Fuel news letter magazine we get at the dealership.
not sure if i would consider myself an audiophile. my last car did have 1800 watts though. keep in mind it is a shallow mount sub. needs minimal space to be efficient. the box is plenty big for the sub. i didn't want anything real boomy. i have the gain at just under halfway and it compliments...
haha yeah i know its a crazy thought. the new g37 has all wheel steering i think. but yeah this is just a mule. remember the first pics of the next mazda6. it was under the same sheet metal as the current model. i would expect looks to mimic the next mazda6, only smaller of course. mazda is...
that new 2.5 will also be a base engine in the next mazda6. 175-180 horsepower will be a nice jump. honestly mazda needed that bump to keep it in line with other cars. with that being said, lets go ahead and start the speculation of the next generation mazdaspeed3 with the 2.5 DISI turbo. i am...
installed the forge earlier today and i already love it. much much louder than i was expecting and best of all, no backfiring or bucking!!! i used the blue spring like most people suggested.
it is the hybrid design. it backfired daily but they were small. it let out a big one about once a week. i have it set up just like SU said. it held boost well and sounded great, but drivability was worse. it would backfire with any shift under 4k.
yeah thats what i was thinking also, but it still seems a little quiter than it was when i first put on the intake. how does it drive with the forge? turbosmart was backfiring, bucking, but it sounded cool!
After a loud backfire today, I switched my turbosmart back to the original bypass vlave. Since switching, I have noticed smoother running and driving. But, it doesn't seem to be as loud as it used to be. I can hear it a little, but nothing like it used to be. Seems to be running fine. This is...
i have tried everything. even called SU on what to do. they gave me instructions and all, but it still burps on any shift under about 4k-45k rpm. so i am just doing away with it.
ordered forge bpv today. i have the turbosmart now, and just can't put up with the burps from the exhaust. might be in the market place later in the week.
that black one is kinda cool looking. and if my research is right, the rumor is a 2.0 DISI turbo in the MPS version. so approx. 230 horses in a 2100-2200lbs car. that could be fun.
