LOl, I know, they rotate the tire too at least. I'll probably get it done by them this time and then find a better shop next time like was suggested by Protego02.
Yep, figured as much, just wanted to make sure that I could get the same service with their $60 oil change and lube special LOL. Crooks....
Thanks guys!
So my 2008 MS3 is due for it's 7500 mile service. I call the local dealer here in San Francisco and schedule an appointment. I ask how much this service is and I get quoted $250 (they have a $25 off coupon though). I thought this seemed high and they must be doing some kind of service I wasn't...
Mine are doing this, it's about a 1/2 inch of play front and back. The repair shop said this is normal, I'm going to take it to the dealer to confirm. When you say no play, do you really mean ZERO play? Like if you press forward or back on the headrest the whole seat will move?
LOL, that beats my final amount of $8700. STILL in the shop...sigh.
I've been driving a Mazda 6 as a rental car. Needless to say a four cylinder, non-turbo engine in a heavier car leaves something to be desired. At least the dude's insurance is paying for it.
No windshield lifting necessary. The plastic cowl that's underneath the windshield wipers is held onto the windshield glass with small plastic clips. The plastic clips creak against the glass. The tape is applied between the clips and the glass getting rid of the creaking. If you search on the...
That's the truth. That windshield rattle bugged me so much though that I didn't even want to fool around with taking the car in only to have them say they couldn't hear anything which is what happens a lot of the time unfortunately.
This is an easy fix to do yourself. Takes 30 minutes tops. There are several posting floating around that describe how to do it. It'll end up taking less time to do it yourself than to take it in, drop off the car, go back to get it, etc.
Does anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area have any experience with either of these Mazda dealers. I need to take my speed in for it's first scheduled maintenance and don't want any nasty surprises.
Thanks!
My baby was rear ended last week by someone going 40mph or so. Now the headrests seem like there is a lot of play in them. The thing is, I don't know whether the play was there before. Can anyone check how much forward/backward play they have in their headrests? Mine seem to have about 1/2 inch...
Glad to hear you are ok! Pretty much the same thing happened to my last Friday. I had to stop quickly on the freeway. The guy behind me that was doing at least 50 wasn't able to stop. The rear bumper was destroyed but the rest of the car was in pretty decent shape. Unfortunately there was some...
Audio files from P2P networks (LimeWire, SoulSeek, etc) are typically MP3s. If you then take those files and burn them to as an audio disc through iTunes or Nero Burning Rom, those files will be converted to WAV format being being burned.
The big distinction here is whether the disc is burned...
Give these two a try, I think the first one was the one I read when I did this fix last year. Let me know if it doesn't help and I can dig some more.

I would poke around for the posts on this problem. There are several where the fix process is described. You can do it yourself in 30 minutes and $5 for some 1/4 inch insulation tape.
