Try corksport. He usually has them for around $1000 and he ships from NJ. There is also a guy local to NC (ScratchNSniff) that parts out MSP ALL the time.

I was told they had to go in the same location as they came off. My mechanic had issues with gapping because he didn't note what position they came out.

He did at least clean the block and all associated parts when the engine was out. Just looking back, I think him grinding the crank and not changing the rod bearing ID has come to be a problem. He keeps telling me everything was within tolerance but, the bearings were purchased before the crank...

I am pretty much going to get straight to the point and answer questions as they come up. Is the ONLY way to spin a rod bearing is by having either low or no oil? My mechanic is telling me I ran my car out of oil (which was totally rebuilt last July by him and he had the crankshaft ground +/-...

Does anyone know the order of assembly for the main bearing caps. My mechanic is working on the longest engine build anyone has heard of (had my car since end of February) and is currently stuck on the order of placement of the caps. I think he said 2 were labelled "k" and 2 were labelled "L"...
