Try corksport. He usually has them for around $1000 and he ships from NJ. There is also a guy local to NC (ScratchNSniff) that parts out MSP ALL the time.
I was told they had to go in the same location as they came off. My mechanic had issues with gapping because he didn't note what position they came out.
He did at least clean the block and all associated parts when the engine was out. Just looking back, I think him grinding the crank and not changing the rod bearing ID has come to be a problem. He keeps telling me everything was within tolerance but, the bearings were purchased before the crank...
