Yeah, you're right I looked up some other people's experience in trading in after 1 year and hardly anyone ever even broke even. Thanks for saving me from a bad decision, not associated with too many car enthusiasts outside of here so I thought it was the best place to ask. My friends all abuse...
Thanks for the excellent responses guys, exactly what I was looking for. I think I will hang on and check on how well it depreciates in this upcoming second year. Stats say it should not depreciate as much as the first year. Looks like the trade value in my area is about $23,500-$24,500...
Thought about that too but that will probably be next spring and the current car will continue to depreciate in value, while putting more mileage on. If I'm going to do it it has to be soon but I really am on the ropes about it. I babied any car I had and never ever traded a car in after only 1...
Good morning peeps, now I've been thinking about this for a few months now just wanted to get a few opinions. I currently have the 2013 CX-5 GT AWD with Tech Package, racked up about 15,000 miles, absolutely love it. The only minor, very minor issue I encounter is the daily fixing of the god...
Wait, you drove 368 miles on this last tank of gas? Say you filled up about 12 gallons you're already looking at a number in the 30's MPG wise. Either you're not recording something right or not resetting properly. On your next fillup record how many gallons you filled up and reset your...
If I drive 31MPG when the wife drives which is 90% of the time 25-27 range. Been noticing my 2014 Mazda 6 figures have been real well lately though, especially after 6,000 miles or so.
Last night getting onto Route 1/9 from Rt 440 raced a 2014 CX-5 Liquid Silver in color, destroyed him at the jughandle couldn't keep up on the turn. Guess he hasn't quite got the hang of how good the handling on the CX-5 at high speeds is :D once we got on 1/9 he proceeded to zip by me honking...
Last year a lady bought a white one after seeing ours in my townhome development, this year 3 more families bought it so a total of 5 CX-5's here alone :D
This is mainly my wife's car but I proudly drive it on the weekends. The car is more masculine than your Nissan Rogue, Ford Escape and not for the elderly like the Honda CR-V or for the teenage beginner drivers like the Toyota Rav4.
A huge pavement project at one of the bridges my wife takes on the way home from work is killing the MPG yielded an average of 24 on the last tank. It is a 20 soemtimes even 30 minute bumper to bumper ride just to get on a 100 foot stretch of unpaved road. People see unpaved road and immediately...
This is industry wide not just a problem for Mazda by the way. Just a simple search on google using the word "windshield cracked" followed by Toyota, Nissan, BMW, Lexus will return hundreds of searches with similar issues. Just saying.. Our 2013 CX-5 goes through highways used by dump trucks...

State inspection (speaking for NJ) does not do these petty checks anymore. Just emissions that is all. Also it's not mandated equipment otherwise all cars and trucks would be required to have them installed.
Althought I find the rear wipers really useful and use it whenever it rains.
Interesting, does it come in other colors? would love to see one in black. In my opinion the grillethat's on the new Mazda 6 would look perfect on all CX-5's who's got photoshop skills tomake that happen?
Oh yeah you cannot go wrong with Ceramic tints, the best heat rejection and great looks. You made the right choice. Yeah the factory tints do let in heat but I doubt that the dealership is installing ceramic tints. Most likely some cheap dye based film and no way should that become part of the...
Window tinting? the back window and rears are already factory tinted. That should not be factored in the price. Also do not ever let a dealer get your front windows tinted as they will most likely go the cheapest route and you'll get the crappiest quality tints.
In my opinion the White, Soul Red and Liquid Silver are the sexiest colors the CX-5 comes in. I love my Black CX-5 but if I could go back I would have got the white or Liquid Silver cause this thing is so hard to maintain.
