The passenger side airbag is always off when nothing is in the passenger seat. This is the way it is designed per the manual. I suspect it is designed this way so if your airbags must deploy and no one is in the passenger seat you dont have to pay to have that airbag replaced.

Actually I did some more research on the genuine mazda cargo net. The instructions specify that the cargo net should not be used to secure loads of more than 30 lbs "WARNING: OBJECT(S) RESTRAINED NOT TO EXCEED 30 lbs. (13.6 kg)" So I guess Im back to the question of how you would per owners...

Fair enough. I too have a OEM cargo net but would be hard pressed to get 2 65L packs under it unless there is some adjustment on the net I am missing. Could always try and rig up something with paracord.

If you select outside air while in auto mode it sticks after a restart. So auto is not picking if it should be auto or recirc air IMHO. @29 f while in auto mode light for AC still did not come on. Going back to review the manual. My understanding is while in auto car should pick optimal settings.

Headed back out to run errands will punch auto air and see if AC light comes on. Its almost 20f here now. Still curious if Auto should switch between outside air and recirculate or do I need to do that manually. So funny I have a 500 page manual and still cant figure it out.
