I just wanted to add that running power from battery to inside the car is not really a big deal. Using the rubber boot that's found on the passenger side of the engine compartment is really straight forward. With the glove box removed, it's easy to get a hold of the power wire once you push it...

Interesting idea! Do you need to worry about flex with the cardboard, or does the cylinder shape help with that? Seems like this design would be a really construction method especially when getting the inner volume correct.

I bought my MS3 in October it currently has just over 1000 miles on it. I just got a notice in the mail that it's recommended to change the oil every 3750 miles or every 3 months. Is this necessary? If not when would you guys recommend changing the oil? Thanks!

I recently replaced the stock 5x7s in the front door with 6.5 in speakers. I was wondering if anyone has ideas on how to make water shields so water in the door panel won't ruin the speakers? Thanks!
