I had the exact same experience with my 2020 Signature after picking it up from a car wash. I didn't ask them to but they must have washed the engine. The carwash was in a shopping center and after collecting the car and seeing the whacky behavior I left it parked in the sun for an hour or so...
The stock battery on my 2020 quit leaving me very stranded two years to the day after new car purchase. Mazda where I am replaced it with a Willard. I hope it does better.
My 2020 Signature Turbo has 35,000 kilometers and no sign of any engine issues. On turbo longevity I had a 1990 Plymouth Laser Turbo (Mitsubishi motor) that I finally unloaded at 160.000 miles. Engine was burning some oil but the turbo was fine. I suspect Mazda's turbo will be very long lasting.
The private full coverage plans are expensive, $1000 US for a year. The options though are impressive with some probably not offered in the US. For example if you are in an accident you call the insurence company right away they will send a lawyer to the scene of the accident to negotiate with...
Well in the two years or so I've had my CX-5 I haven't had any accidents with other cars but I've now been to the Mazda collision center three times. One incident was my fault. I was on a very narrow stretch of dirt road when suddenly I was confronted with a very big truck coming my way. As he...
How do you jump on the bumper of a CX 5?
Anyway here in Colombia if it clicks at say $47.600 pesos I tell the attendant $48.000 to avoid coins. It's only a very slight overfill.
I have a 2020 turbo. Last August exactly two years after buying the car the battery went dead (way out in the boonies and had to wait four hours for a tow truck). There was no prior warning of a low battery. Seems I've always had some indication in the past when batteries were going bad. Anyway...
Since day one I have always left my headlight switch set to "Auto". Now 35,000 kilometers and over two years later the driving lights still shine bright and no need for replacement. I must say I'm impressed. I see many year old cars with a brake or tail light out around here (Colombia) so kudos...
Well I got my Fanttik T8 APEX jump starter in the mail today looks great and the first thing I did was bring it up to full charge. However bummer...it did not come with the carrying case shown on YouTube nor the cigarrette lighter adapter. Instead it came with a cloth carrying sack. Very...
Thanks again to all for your recommendations. It turns out I was able to oder the Fanttik T8 Apex here in Colombia. It's costing $199.17 US instead of the $169.97 posted on line stateside. Part of that is just charging a premium price because they can but part of the extra cost is due to my US...
When two years almost to the after I bought my Signature the battery quit with no warning leaving me stranded way out in the boonies and the tow truck arrive four hours later they jumped it with a battery booster pack (story covered in an earlier thread). It was the first time I'd seen one of...
Thank you for those replies. Sounds good. However I've gotten my CX-5 in situations several times where one front wheel spins and spins until I let up on the accelerator. In none of the situations was any wheel braking perceptible (also I tried turning of the TCS but to no avail). Fortunately I...
I understand that the Stability Control System will apply braking to individual wheels under curtain instances independent of any driver braking action. Under what type of circumstances does this occur?
