I use mainly Adam's Polishes products. US made in Colorado, something for everything you want to do to your car. I've only found one product of theirs I don't care for (can't remember what it is). Wash, clay, wax/seal, remove swirls, etc., etc...
Greetings,
Bought replacement front brake pads for the 2016 GT, 65000 miles. Upon removal of existing pads found there was still 9mm on outboard pad and 8mm on inboard pad on both sides. Cleaned and re-lubricated touch points and slapped back together. Figured I'd need new pads because I live...
I would hesitate using the Dawn detergent, alcohol, and distilled water. It seems to me that overspray will slowly remove the finish/wax on your hood and leading edge of the roof. It should, however, clean the windshield.
I use Adam's Rinseless wash in the winter when there is no outdoor hose available, due to temperature (I live at 5600 feet). Car gets washed in the garage. The Rinseless Wash provides enough lubrication that scratches and micromarring are avoided, when used properly.
I lost a piece when driving in snow. Found the number of the piece on-line and ordered it, along with replacement fasteners. Still hanging in there after a year.
Something I have noticed:
The speedometer occasionally loses its color (red). Everything is still visible, the color just goes away. It can get reset by turning on the Speedometer option again.
I see that now. Do you suppose I can choose to reinstall the speedometer options (with the setting I actually want) without uninstalling the tweaks first?
I just installed a few of the upgrades. Very easily done, took two minutes. My speedometer, however, is digital only (no dial) and the other gauges are along the bottom of the screen, on three pages.
I have a '16. The gear oil mentioned is correct. The toughest thing for me to do was loosening of the plugs. Couldn't use a socket, had to get a wrench over the plug heads. The draining was simple: Removed upper plug first, to make sure it would come out, then drain plug. Had to pump the oil up...
Got around to changing the rear differential fluid today. Had to position car heading downhill backwards with rear tires on ramps. This gave me enough space to slide under the car and access the drain and fill plugs while still leaving the car somewhat level. I had no skinny sockets to remove...
I checked the ATF level beforehand, it was at the appropriate level and refilled to full, checking after car returned to running temperature. The transfer case was filled until it started oozing out the hole. I've got the second quart already. I am aware of the procedures, even though I may not...
At 57, 600 miles changed the ATF. Well, not really changed it, but drained 3.8 quarts and refilled same amount. Will do it again next week. Also drained and refilled the transfer case. Was going to do the same to the rear differential, but found I could not fit beneath the rear of the car far...
