With the Mazda 2 we race being parked for extend periods of time we get a little ticking when we fire up the car. We normally let the car run for a few minutes before driving on it.

At 100 MPH the Mazda 2 says it gets 10MPG. Not sure how this plays into your decision but in case you decide to kick up your commute up a notch.

I have been beating a Mazda 2 for 3 years now racing it in B-Spec and the car has been trouble free, the driver has failed a few times resulting in crash damage though.
What transmission fluid do you have in your 2?

It was a good start to the year last weekend at the SCCA Majors races as I won both of the races in B-Spec. It feels like hurry up and wait though, the next race is in march :(

We have no plans to do anymore product development on the Mazda 2. The market is not strong enough to cover the development costs for a big power adder.

I think Mazda Canada has always operated on its own in regards to car models. They every got the BH 323 hatchback model in limited numbers which skipped the US. It would be interesting to see what the say about the Mazda 2.

I like goal to win all the trophy magnets.
I will be heading to Autoclub to do some B-Spec racing next weekend. I have some good data from last year, it will be interesting to see how the weight affects the car in lap times. I have a feeling it is going to be a long weekend.
