I will try. I can tell you I didn't notice them until it got very dark outside and not until after the salesman pointed them out to me. Far more noticeable are the LED overhead and vanity lights, but not in a bad way.
My schedule opened up yesterday. Did a test drive in the afternoon and drove it home later. Volvo X60 T6 was at the top of my list; the CX-5 Sig compares favorably both on paper and behind the wheel, and is ~$15,000 less, so I bought it.
I have a deposit on a blue mica signature that I will be test driving and perhaps buying Saturday. I drove a GT reserve about 10 days ago and was very impressed, but want to see if the sig really feels that much more upscale.
Drove a 2019 GT Reserve this morning (Brown*s Mazda Fairfax, Va.) and enjoyed it. Volvo X-60 is at top of my list, but if a Signature interior comes anywhere close, I*m buying Mazda. Today, I drove the Mazda over the same streets I drove the Volvo and the CX-5 drive equaled the Volvo. The X-60...
I*m aware of those numbers; what I*m asking is whether the octane must be at least 93 for the motor to develop more hp or if grades between 87 and 93 will produce some additional hp. Just wondering, not trying to debate whether it is worth it.
Well, I wouldn't bother with 89 or 91 if the CX-9 won't "use" the higher (but below 93) octane, but I was just wondering whether that's the case: Will the 2.5T engine develop more hp on 89 or 91 than 87?
Does the CX-9 tune/ecu treat any octane below 93 as 87, or does it increase horsepower incrementally? Where I live I can get gas at 87, 89, 91, and 93. So can the ecu detect 89 and increase hp to, say, 234? And at 91 increase to 242? Or is it all or nothing, 93 = 250 and anything below = 227?
Even if it doesn't fix the delay (not sure), it does address other failings in the original module and is worth pursuing, especially if you can get it done as TSB/warranty replacement (free).
Well, I know I've updated Gracenote on my car (some years ago), which is a 2014. (See, e.g., https://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123857107-Gracenotes-DB-Update.) But the links in the old threads lead to the same page I referenced above. I have no idea whether downloading the latest...
This will likely not address your issue, but it couldn't hurt: if you haven't already, try updating Gracenote (http://infotainment.mazdahandsfree.com/howto-updategracenote?language=en-NA).
Call the dealership and ask service person if they are aware of the TSB (SB09-008-15 (link in first post at https://www.mazdas247.com/forum/show...ight=usb+fixed)). I never went through Mazda connect; once TSB came out I showed copy to dealership and they ordered part and replaced under warranty.
