Extremely hard to shift after it has been running for ~15 minutes or so, even at speed. Not all gears, mostly 1,2,5, and reverse (obviously not at speed). If you havn't experienced it, count yourself lucky, but a lot of us have. The issue with first (having to pump the clutch after coming from...
The crossover that comes with the ID's are meant to split the incoming frequencies for the woofer and the tweeter, so that the tweeter only gets the frequencies it can handle (usually around 2khz and up) and the same for the woofer (around2khz and below). You would want to turn on the hpf (high...
So I have had the infamous shifting issues for the past few years. I have tried new fluids, motor mounts, poly bushings in the shifter, new slave cylinder, and just the other day, a new master cylinder. After the master cylinder, I have an even tougher time shifting than before. Usually it is...
Digitalslacker, thejash had a lot of good things to say. Going from a 6x8 to a 6.5 isn't going to change how hard it "hits", regardless of brand. The speaker size is your limitation. Using an amp for those ID's is a good idea, but as thejash said, make sure you have them crossed over properly...
I have heard the Megans are a bit of a harsh ride, but never experienced it for myself. I personally have Eibach springs with KYB struts and am quite happy with it. My wife hates driving in my car. My kids and I love it!
I do remember a post on here about this being a stuck bushing in the shift linkage or something like that. I can't seem to find it, if anyone knows what I'm talking about please link it! I am changing my struts today and would like to try this out while the car is in the air.
Unfortunately no, I still have a hard time with 1st, reverse, sometimes second, and for the first time last week 5th. It's really annoying! All that's left to replace is the masster cylinder and the clutch. I only have 85000 mile on it and the clutch doesn't slip so I don't really want to spend...
Or you could do what I did, dual bixenon housings (high and low beam) in each light. 4 high and low hids ftw. Also did bexenon's for fog lights too, just because.
I bought mine in nyc and drove it back to rochester, so my very first experience with mine was a road trip! I have a trip to. Ontreal coming up in a few months, so I am starting all the previously mentioned maintenence now.
depending on your mechanical skill set, it's not hard to do at all. just remove a few bolts, move some s*** out of the way, and reinstall. A new one from an auto parts store should be ~$200 give or take. I have the swap down to about 15 min start to finish.
I went with the eibachs and can highly recommend them (my wife however can not!). The drop is just the right amount and the ride is good. I found mine for around $225 new iirc, just look and good deals can be found. Stay away from the no name brands, as others have stated, you will get what you...
I'm trying to convince her not to just drive up, go to the wedding, and then drive home. We never got to take our honeymoon and with 2 little children we don't have much time to do anything, so maybe something geared more towards her will entice her to stay longer!
My sister is getting married in Montreal in august and I was wondering if any one was from the area or knows the area. My wife and I will be there without the kids so I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on thing to do/see if we have any extra time. Thanks all.
I bought some thule racks off ebay for cheap, then drilled some holes in them and the roof rack and screwed them on. Works fine for the few times I get out and doesn't take too long to undo. With both the factory racks and the thule racks being aluminum I don't have to worry about rust issues :)
