it makes so little difference you would need back to back pulls on an accurate dyno to measure. ive run 2" on both pipes and switched to 2.5" and there is no real world difference.
I could use the Toyota celica all trac trans and convert the sport20 rear end to accomodate the toyota diff/axles with a custom driveshaft.
if i stayed with mazda parts i could use a GTR\X awd transmission which bolts up to my current bp, oem gtr\x front axles, custom driveshaft and a OEM sport...
im thinking maybe a ms6 for the DD and a awd bp powered msp for the weekends...
just need those magic lottery numbers lol damn house sucks up all my time and money nowadays.
1991 escort GT Trans 4:10
still no toyota box install. no plans of needing it anytime soon.
getting bored of FWD.
either guna buy a new car or buy a sport20 awd rear clip and AWD E153 trans to bolt up to mazda bp once I win the lottery.
we were having a good laugh about the bp vs fs scenerio with some coworkers today.
how much boost were ya running?...just 21psi.
Holy crap! did ya bend a rod? nope. did ya melt a piston? nope. did you loose oil pressure in a turn or under boost? nope.... then what the heck happended...
well some good/bad luck
On Friday me and a buddy had the time of our life with the car.
Tuned my fuel table up to 21psi and made several improvements to the tune. Everything was going great. Hours of fun.
Then Saturday while loafing on the 401 in 5th on the way to wasaga I looked down and...
Im pretty sure I just need to redo my wiring. It has been a work in progress for a long time. When I get back from vacation I am going to ditch the idea of making everything fit in the foot well and just mount the ecu under the cup holder area which will make it easier for me to clean everything...
went back to the dyno today...
BOOM
JK
Well once again I had nothing but problems.
The bad news:
1. Filled up with 94 octane. Set boost to 19psi (I had bigger balls then usual today) got the car up on the dyno. 4th gear pull. As soon as i passed ~5200rpm it...
new stage 3 F1 KL 2.5L Clutch installed on my 1.8BP flywheel.
Been experimenting with different boost levels. Seems 17psi is around the limit for 91 octane on this setup, so on the street I try to keep it just below 17. Going back to the dyno soon and will see what it puts down with my new...
the obvious question-is the bypass valve installed in the correct direction? have you check the valve itself for leaks? they dont last forever and at 10 years old its something that could be causing issues like you described.
unhook the vac line to the wastegate and go do a quick pull.
let off the gas if the boost rises higher than your setup can take / is tuned for.
if there is no change that pretty much rules out actuation issues, however there COULD also be a slight chance that the WG is being obstructed and...
ya it was a bit of a gamble with the used illuminas. I have been driving around with these wheels for a few months now and my stock suspension was so shot it would never even compress in the rear.
first issue I had was that as soon as I installed suspension that actually moves was that I...
some old news from May that I forgot to post here:
Already got the new clutch, just need some time to install and break it in.
And I added new suspension and brakes:
and painted valve cover with a new gasket.
been busy. bought a brand new house down the street from Steeda (where I...
watch the vid of brians pro5 with that new built trans. its worth the watch lol somewhere on youtube i think
correct the E153 comes in FWD, AWD and mid engined rwd setup. (from camry v6, celica all trac and mr2)
since I have no balls lately ill probly just end up with the fwd camry E153 in my...
now i remember i saw that evo8 conversion there too, you just got me thinking dsm ie talon/laser/eclipse trans and i dont know of anyone running those. either way even the toyota swap is a ton of work ive had my adaptor plate sitting here for quite some time lol
I've spent quite a bit of time...
ya but who drives with slicks on a street car?
and a stock MSP runs in the 15s so i sure hope you can beat a car with 2850 pounds, 155whp and a interwarmer lol your turbo 323 is probably much faster
Ive been bumping threads for 3rd gen traction bars and nobody seems to care. I guess people...
