true the protege5 was made for e15, but my 2cents:
Upgrade injectors, upgrade the fuel pump and put in a new filter and strainer. Because you'll need the extra flow and e85 is known to free loose sediment in the tank so a new filter is good to have.
apart from that
It is known that on older...
No you do not have to lose all your gauges but it depends on how you wire standalone in. In my signature i have a link to info that may help you with installing haltech and probably answer many of your questions on the subject. Im running 17psi with Gt3071r on E85, stand alone opens up a world...

Hi everyone, i thought to bump this to do a little update for those interested in running E85. Ive just begun experimenting with this and im very happy with the results so far. Ive made the map more aggressive and i've maxed out my fuel set up. This is the fastest my car has ever been. Its...
Took me a while to teach my self how to do to do it smoothly. But now I can do it with passengers with out anyone noticing. Practice braking with your foot in the air rather then with your heal on the ground. The should help you with the over braking. But apart from that just practice. Just make...
turn you key on the on position with out starting the engine if there is a light that says abs then you have abs, if you dont then its not equipped. Also you can look behind the the wheel to see if there is an abs wheel speed sensor. or look under the battery tray to see if the pump is there.
Where did you buy the parts?
If you bought the parts from an auto part odds are one of the two part you replaced is defective.
its not uncommon for low quality thermostats not to open fully, and for coolant temperature sensor resistance to be off and cause incorrect readings
if i can find the bolts i used to mount it ill include them but i cant make any promises.
But any autoparts store should have hardware on hand you can use, thread size is M12X1.75
well technically its not absolutely necessary but it is good practice to do so.
Reasons you want to do the test both ways:
Gauges are not all ways accurate
Older engines have carbon build up on the piston, this will cause false high compression results.
Engine temperature at time of test...
They will work with the head to manifold. Manifold to turbo. They are the right size to work turbo to down pipe with the stock or ghl down pipe. I don't think they will work with the pope down pipe. i think that needs special hardware
