Thanks! Our CX-5 had a lot of options installed when we got it which I didn't necessarily want. I caved in because it only had 5 miles on it when we bought it. I honestly didn't want the trim initially, but it has grown on me.
These wheels were actually my second choice. I wanted TSW...
I have my take offs with less than 1000 miles for sale in the marketplace...https://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123863769-FS-2017-CX-5-GT-Wheels-Tires-lug-nuts-Ventura-County-California
Our last vehicle with real steering feel was our 2013 X5 Diesel. That thing was a tank and also the last vehicle we had with non-electric power steering (my wife currently has a BMW i3...you want to talk about light steering!)
Maybe a better description of my thoughts on the CX-5 steering is...
I've contacted BC Racing on the status of coilovers for the 2017+ and have not heard back from them yet...I believe you are correct that the H&R springs are the only current option.
Welcome!
Having come from a 2003 WRX on coilovers, a 2013 WRX (fairly stock), and a 2016 Audi SQ5, I have the same feelings on the CX5 as you do. We picked our 2017 GT Premium AWD in December and it is a fairly responsive vehicle for what it is. I just added 20" wheels and some aggressive BFG...
The Forester will have it... All revised Subaru models have it incorporated so there is no reason the new Forester won't. Toyota is doubtful as even the new Camry doesn't have it.
I wouldn't let the lack of Android Auto or Apple Car Play be a limiting factor on vehicle selection. I have Android Auto on my GTI, and while it is convenient, I simply dock my phone in the CX5 and run Waze or whatever I need. Way more plusses with the CX5 than the lack of AA or ACP in my opinion.
That is funny... My wife gives me a hard time about my car fetish, but at the end of the day, she loves how my efforts come out.
By the way, I posted my oem wheels/tires and lug nuts for sale in the marketplace for anyone who is interested.
Up for sale are take off wheels/tires/lug nuts from our 2017 CX-5 GT that we purchased in December 2017. They have 932 miles on them and are in perfect condition with no imperfections. Prefer local pickup.

The ride is definitely a bit firmer... but still very comfortable. The CX-5 feels more connected steering wise and less floaty. I might be a bit skewed because my daily driver is a VW GTI Sport and we also have a lifted 4Runner and a BMW i3. The CX-5 still drives much more comfortably than any...
Ride is a bit more firm, noise level is about the same or slightly less. I've only taken it on the freeway to get it up to speed to make sure there were no vibrations. Need to get it out on some of the local canyons to see how the handling is!
