Highfive was it a mazda extended confidence warranty extension the one you purchased? If you got a third party warranty they don't like to approve anything. If you got a mec please let me know this would be bad news if even mazda's own extended warranty wouldn't cover this.

Hi Andrewnds. Based on your answer i suspect that they just took the regular skyactiv 2.5 and slapped a turbo on it without upgrading the heads or the bottom end of this engine. As the other poster said mazda told him that there was a crack in the head. Makes you wonder what they were thinking...

You can use either 3309 or Toyota T-IV transmission fluid. I use T-IV, much cheaper than the mazda stuff.
