Good luck with that...not many 17 tourings with package out there. Seems like people tend to keep these things and when I looked a couple months ago (searches daily for over a month), all I could find were sports or the occasional grand touring that was usually far away and/or grossly overpriced...
Weight of 2nd gen sport/touring 17 wheels?
Anyone know the weight of the 17 wheels on sport and touring models? Still on the search for new wheels but dont want to increase unsprung weight over what came stock on our 19 touring
Bought ours almost a month ago in northern CA...
$30,635 msrp (white 19 touring awd with PP)
Paid $30k otd (roughly 28,200 + fees/taxes minus $1,000 rebate)
Dont think we couldve done much better
Car is a 19 touring awd. I dont really want to go much wider than stock, but found a set of wheels that might fit and are almost too cool to pass up. Im sure the front wheels would fit no problem with 225 or 235mm tires, but rears would likely require a 275 mm tire (or minimum 265mm)...all about...
For ride quality and tire prices, would probably want to stick with 17 or max 18 wheels. At this point looking into Enkei pf05 or maybe the even lighter rpf1s. Got a bit of time to figure it out until these stock Yokos wear out
Or even better, the old we wont know what the problem is or if its covered until we open up the engine which of course would be at owners expense. At that point, youre tied in to the dealer repair and can only hope they determine repairs are covered.
Just a thought...if low oil pressure is the issue, could it be that people running longer oil changes and/or idling a lot are getting greater fuel dilution, which would in turn thin out the oil and cause reduced oil pressure? I wonder how far into oil changes and/or with what driving habits are...
Thanks...Ive been looking at rotiform wheels among others, but most are still pretty heavy in the cast series. Would prefer to be around the 20-22 lb range for an 18 or 19 wheel.
My favorite style Ive come across so far is the Axis FL01 as a real clean 5-spoke wheel (havent figured out posting...
Whats wrong with the Bose? We have it in our 2-day old touring awd, and Im pretty impressed! Its not a ultra high SQ system but is definitely one of the better upgraded factory audio systems Ive heard. Its definitely better than the Bose in my Cadillac, and the HK & Burmeister systems in my...
Nothing to ponder...most of the engineering into the exhaust is done pre-muffler, while the muffler is mostly for sound control. Whenever you have a single exhaust turning into duals at the very rear of the car, its usually just for aesthetics.
Yeah true, and I believe it wouldve looked better with a single muffler/dual pipes sitting on one side instead of a faux dual exhaust for an NA 4-cylinder. Guess its the unnecessarily large bumper cutouts that give it the pea-shooter look.
So that means there is a Mazda-backed extended warranty, but it only goes to 100k? Can anyone shed light on what factory/Mazda-backed warranties are available?
Not at all interested in aftermarket...
Wheel weight Qs and how if affects mpg?
1. Does anyone know weight of stock touring 17 wheels?
2. Anyone know weight of the 19 pizza wheels?
3. Anyone switched from one of the above to the other? And how did it affect gas mileage?
Have the 17s on our new touring awd , and out of the gate mpg...
So are you saying that Mazda doesnt offer a factory-backed extended warranty? The dealer I purchased from mentioned something about them all being aftermarket, but I was in a rush to get home so didnt stay for the whole spiel.
Every other brand Ive bought cars from has had a manufacturer...
