I run 5W-30 year round. Some frown upon it, but I usually don't have the time to change the oil in the winter, so I change it towards the middle of fall (which means I'm due for a change). Being in MI this winter, you'll most likely want to run the 5W. It's supposed to be much colder than...
I have no idea what the brand was on the failed one. The new one is Duralast. I think the added part is a fail-safe. Hopefully I won't have to find out if it works or not.
This is what the new one looks like:
This is what I took out... stuck closed. Something missing?
Upside... I now have fresh coolant and NOT the brownish fluid that was in there before. I guess the dealer didn't check ALL of the fluids.
Plugs and wires on Monday... THEN the thermostat took a s*** today. Locked closed so most of the coolant was in the water pump... which came pouring out all over the driveway when I pulled out the thermostat. The old one seemed to be missing a piece too. I'll get a picture up tomorrow and you...
I was on my way to take an exam today when my P5 started chugging. I though, "just a bump in the road; no big deal." Then it started happening more and I thought, "s***, this is NOT what I need today." So, lucky for me the dealer where I bought the car was just behind me so I took her there...
I can't wait to have a big boy job so I can get my retro going. If I'm not mistaken, the quad bi-xenon SHOULD (in theory) produce significantly more light than said Acura TL setup... in theory.
ZOMG!!!!! I can't wait to see how this turns out. I'm skeptical about the fitment of the Mini H1 in the HB spot. Not sure if there's enough room. If there is, the shroud is going to have to be cut to pieces. BUT WHO CARES!?!?!?!?!? RACE CAR!!!!!!
Hell, it was sketchy this morning when I took her in for the window... and it was only DAMP!!!
It looks good, but I think the small diameter takes away the halo effect and it blends too much. Maybe it's just the picture. Either way, I like it!
